Frenchie is my favorite character. Vought is the quintessential "evil corporation" and money is their bottom line. You'll learn more about how Vought came to be over the course of the show. And oh, my sweet summer children, you have no idea how far this show can and will go... you ain't see nothing yet.
I don't think Hugh's Dad is ignorant to his trauma, so much is he is wilfully trying to ignore and downplay it. Dad is desperately trying to preserve the status quo and it's really cowardly of him.

Another good anti - hero comic is - Invincible, also a good show on Amazon. I notice the Comic book figures in the back ground. If you like comics you should watch the comic streaming shows that came out before Disney took over and watered them down. Daredevil - Jessica Jones - The Punisher... You can skip - Luke Cage & Iron Fist they suck, they come off like Disney shows.

OMG, that was basically a fictionalized snuff film for a minute. I love how the show pushes the envelope, but I hope we don’t get more quite like that from the show. I would not continue to watch. No offense to the awesome originality and fun of the show, but much as the series reacts to superhero precedents, the moments that speak to me most tend to remind me of the Punisher. Very veiled references though. Maybe everybody especially notices things that remind them of their favorite superhero stories.
