Note that Iruma's "evil side" is just a more determined person than usual, who doesn't show deference and respect the way Iruma does normally. And like, in the manga it's even more clear b/c the events on Magical Street w/ his Grandpa actually happens BEFORE the Water Park date not after, which is where he first sees the weight spell. So it was really more of a 'I saw my gramps do this once'. Since the anime swapped it around it just becomes a spell he learned in class (which also makes sense). It wasn't practised specifically FOR Ameri, he just realized this was the perfect opportunity to use it.
I adore this anime. Its in my top 10. Ive read hundreds of manga and manhwa and comics yet this story just sticks. Iruma is a great character. The characters are cute and innocent and even given their nature they are honest and kind.

when iruma had the drastic change in personality I thought of something from Buffy the vampire Slayer a quote from Giles. "so he's become rude withdrawn hangs out with a different crowd and he's been more aggressive.... oh dear he's turned into a teenage boy I'm afraid you'll have to kill him."
Damn haven't seen anything more wholesome than this. The anime made me teary a lot due to the sweetness. The demon school was truly an ideal school. Great work on author's part to allow friendship of aruma with his friends and classmates to flourish along with the bonds he forged with the staff members and the teachers. Eagerly waiting for next season.
