This really answered my electronics questions about my 2nd hand 2000 MIM I just bought (FB marketplace, $225 in excellent condition, what a bargain), mine, like Woody Woodlstein, shielded only around the pots not the pups.

Love your channel i found. I'm all about if it sounds and feels good it is. And I promote Fender MIM , Squier, Harley Benton and any playing set up capable decent guitar. The issue was the 80s and 90s back was squier and many didn't set up their guitars as the time was spent hand crafting what now CNC does giving more to finish work. Hence the boom in sub 100 USD playable guitars. Hahaha. Cheap parts but replacing them still with high priced parts (still dirt cheap) makes it almost stupid to buy USA or over priced. Don't get me wrong. Having. Good US strat is great but they are not 1000s better in returns.

Hi! yeah i agree, although the lack of care and attention to details makes the necks not very nice and the bodies very heavy, with thick finishes etc. You can get a nice guitar cheap, but they can require work so they have to be worth it form the start, which i think is to some degree pot luck. thanks for watching :)

well done. i have the better mim setup and it honestly sounds amazing. so many variations it’s remarkable. ive a green poly cap. different modern switch. shielded only around pots not pus.

i don't have any MIA parts i'm afraid, but the differences are that MIA uses cloth covered wire and 'nicer' capacitors. at least on the normal strat wiring ones with out extra switching. thanks for watching! :)
