Just looked - not available at MMP - dang it was $83 new and now it averages $250 on second hand Market! Oh well. Just tells me I should buy the Red Factories set, even if I’m not sure I will I will play it for some time. Cool video series.
Thanks. I ended up buying the Red Factories too because I'm probably crazy :) I'm sure I'll get around to giving it a go via SASL...just expand on the existing Red Barricades SASL rules. Not cheap that for sure. Hopefully VotG goes into reprint soon.
Great+ vids. I have a question about the rail station. Looking at the map (and rolling on A9e s?), it appears to be a factory. Is that your interpretation as well ? [getting a bunch of rooftop results] Thanks in advance.
thanks. Stalingrad-1 railway station is a factory type building (large white dot indicates this), however the roof is gone so there should only be ground level positions. The first couple of times i tried CG I, I mistakenly thought there were multiple levels, but nope.
@@ASL-Spotting_Round Thanks. EXACTLY. Deep in the legalese reading the sprit of this rule. Looking at the VOTG rulebook : 6.1, 7.1 "non-factory" in italics, 7.2 referencing RB O5.4. Reviewing the historical footnotes 8, 9, 19... PLAY ON !
I’m pretty new to ASL. I ask this question sincerely, what is the appeal of Stalingrad in ASL? It seems like pretty static fighting and building up large kill stacks. But there must be more to these fights because it is very popular.
You would need the SASL rules for most things sadly. Setup, ACTION DR, etc. Not too mention the ACTION Tables etc. The SASL VotG rules might cover a lot, but you still need the basic SASL rules. Unfortunately MMP doesn't have any SASL ed 2 in stock. I'm hoping they will sometime in the future.
The three Aerial Bombardments that this video shows, are pre-game in a pre-registered hex, with an accuracy die roll, as per the GE Reinforcement chart, note b. I fire the Rocket OBA in the next video.
I am so glad you made this video. I was struggling to find instructions on how to go about playing a campaign game. So much to learn.
Glad I could help! I tend to stream at least once a week, including refit phases between campaign days if it would help.
Added the initial save game file if anyone want to play along or avoid the hours it takes to set one of these up 😃
Thank you !!!
This is wonderful - detailed playthrough of SASL - HASL campaign. Thank you very much. You are amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it!

For me its the chaos. Mass numbers of troops and tanks, OBA and planes all going at it. Makes you use a lot of the rulebook.
Why no audio?
What do you mean. I'm listening to it now and sound works.
I assume you would need all the SASL rules found in the SASL box? Or, are the rules provided give you enough info?

Your rocket oba is accurate it is an automatic distance and range.
