Very helpful. Bought a switch from Rockauto for my ‘64 500 XL (390-4spd); used 20ga wire fed up from bottom of steering column to pull wires from switch down one at a time. Not enough room to do more than one at a time. Switch worked perfectly. Bought 4 additional parts from Eckler’s in Daytona Beach that were recommended when replacing T/S switch. This fellow was very lucky to feed his wires through so easily.

This may sound like a dumb question, but when you say 20 gauge wire , do you mean stranded wire like the electrical wire you are pulling thru or solid wire, kinda like fence wire or a real thin coat hanger?

Thanks for the video. I'll be doing this to my 64 Tbird which has the same setup. The part I dread the most is fishing the wires back down the colum.

I was about to compliment you on going through it without any cussing. But you just edited out the part when it really started to fight you as you were putting the switch assy back in the column. That had to irritate the crap out of you after fishing the wires through. If you really wanted to be irritated try just replacing the turn signal cam, every step of that is a pain. The whole switch is the way to go. Nice video! Oh and if the canceling tabs break off, refer back to what I said. The whole switch....again.
