    Please according to how your connection is the ECG is at the TOP and the generator at the DOWN
    But when the changeover is closed the indication on it please I think is missed please I'm a little bit confused please

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're not alone, so many electricians are confused about it too. But it's so simple. Yes according to my connection ECG is at the top and Generator at the bottom. The power source, either ECG or Generator could be at the top or bottom and the load (to consumer unit) is distinguished.

    Is the connection the same as bristol 3 phase change over

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can't tell because I have not used Bristol onload Changeover before, however you can test it with a multimeter to know how it's designed.

    Good work master but I need help of 110 and 220 wiring... Thanks

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay. For the 230v and 110V wiring. The wiring is done normally, don't mix up anything of the 230v or the 110V (being it a neutral or earth) and finally you will need to install a 220V 110V step up and down Transformer to step down the 230v to 110V.

      @@multiskilledelectrician1 I, have an issue here you know transformer only converts voltage but not frequency so how do you convert frequency from 50hz to 60hz my house was wired both 220/110v and all the lights in the house were110v meaning 60hz frequency perhaps they are not going to function how they because the voltage frequency in Ghana is 50hz while US is 60hz . Do you have any ideas to convert 50hz to 60hz?

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheBayasi that's true. I noticed this some months ago, the step down Transformer we purchased for a project converts the voltage without converting the frequency, however all the 120V 60Hz appliances function fine.

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheBayasi also according to further findings, the missing required frequency here might only affect the appliances on long term basis.

      @@multiskilledelectrician1ok. did you buy the transformer in Ghana? I did a little bit research and about all the majority of the people are saying I need to buy PSU frequency converter from 230v 50hz to 110v 60hz and is not that cheap at all. I don’t know if it’s available in Ghana! if not then I have to get it from china.

    when the phases are looped will the changeover switch still work

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it will, you loop the phases when the standby power source is single phase, if it's three phase there will be no need to loop the phases.

    Clear explanation but please can you explain to me how to connect the 3phase generator to the changeover

    • @multiskilledelectrician1
      @multiskilledelectrician1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the onload changeover is three phase so you connect the wires from phase one ,phase two, phase three and neautral at the botton connection points.
