Songs like this no longer exist. Music today is striving so hard to sound different that it struggles to sound like music. I know there is a generation gap, but today music is just missing music. Just like fashion.. I hope music will come around again.

Mellencamp, arguably, was one of the last relevant artists to break through. MTV, and later, downloading, closed the door behind him. I can't help but wonder if there aren't others like him toiling anonymously.

This is the best song
This is the first song of his that I can remember listening to when I was a kid. This was my mom's favorite song and when she passed away, this was played at her viewing. It's been 11 years, but it seems like yesterday. So many times I wanted to call her and just hear her voice..if y'all are lucky enough to have your parents, call them,visit them, one day, you won't be able to. Be blessed, love to all!
