What an awesome video and that waterfall was such a beautiful sight. It was not something I would expect to see in Southern Utah at all. This was such a nicely shot video and enjoyed the banter between all of you.
I am dying to get back out to Utah but I don’t think it is happening anytime soon. Our kids are each on a different school calendar and July is vacation month for the foreseeable future. Utah in July is a hard pass.

One of my favorite short-to-medium hikes anywhere. The whole hike through that canyon is beautiful, and that waterfall is just incredible. My daughters and I did the full-body plunge on a summer morning that was hitting the mid-90s, and that was the coldest water I've ever submerged myself in. Didn't feel the heat at all the first half of the hike back. :)

My wife and I loved the Escalante Grand Staircase. It sunsets there are God’s great canvases of art we couldn’t even imagine and he blesses us with a new creation every night. There’s a sermon it there somewhere Brother! “Amazing taste…”??? No, that’s Thai street food! 😂🤣😂🤣

Hello America's Park's😊😊😊, Lower Calf Creek Falls is absolutely beautiful! I have hiked the Lower Calf Creek Falls trail years ago while I was visiting the Mighty Five National Parks in Utah and have visited the same areas several times. National Scenic Byway Route 12 is one of my all time scenic drives of all time. I just can't get enough of Utah! Which brings me to this...when are you going to visit, Rainbow Bridge, National Monument😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊!! As always my friend, video footage was OUTSTANDING👍👍👍👍👍👍.

I would be more than happy to hike a lot more than 3 miles to see a waterfall like that - what an awesome sight! You bagged a great camp spot and I love shorts and T Shirt hiking on a sunny day. Great trail to follow and history along the way and I worked with a young lass who used to wild swim in the Winter here, who always took a hammer with her, so she could break the ice on the water, allowing her to get in for a swim! Great Falls and even better when you get them all to yourselves, cheers Alan

You were so blessed to have the place to yourself. I attempted to hike there a few years ago, but it was a weekend, in the dead of summer. The cars were parked all the way up the road and it was 8:30 in the morning! I decided to go on by and do a bit of backcountry driving instead near Capitol Reef, and put this hike back on the to-do list. Glad to get this virtual tour to see what there is to look forward too!

Randy, Lots of benefits to late fall visits to popular areas like this - amazing autumn color, low pressure at the sites from people (looked like you were by yourselves at Lower Calf Creek Falls) and easy access to the best campsites. October seems to be an amazing month when the weather holds out, and you had some amazing blue sky weather that makes this park look so amazing. Yes, two nights with campfire to stay warm, and probably a good thing that no one wanted to go for a dive/swim. THANK YOU FOR TAKING US ON THIS GORGEOUS HIKE, . . . Mike

We hiked the Lower Calf Creek Falls in summer. A bit less water, but still a waterfall. We were caught by a thunderstorm when we were on our return trip. Lightning struck on the sides of the canyon and we could see chunks of rock jumping off. Soacked to our underwear of the heavy rainfall, waterfalls everywhere and small flashfloods on the walkway. Great walk, but always keep the summer monsoon in your thoughts. Lesson learned

On my last trip there, I stopped at Calf Creek campground but didn't do the hike as my friend at the time was recovering from chemo & didn't want him to push it. After seeing your video, I must return...a shame one of your friends didn't pick up on your challenge to go "neck deep." Did you get a pic of my latest painting?
