    The minimum wage in Germany is not 5500 euros/month. Volunteers earn around 450 euros/month as pocket money

    • @Frostfairs
      @Frostfairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Agnes. Thanks for offering your insights.
      Are you currently volunteering in Germany? If so, we would love to hear you more on our channel.
      In our video's salary or pay section, we stated the range from 2500 to 5500 euros. The lower range is something you can call the official minimum wage and the upper range is the average minimum salary being offered or given. Do you understand that difference?
      Well, of course, the newbies are given even less than 450 euros per month. Yet, many professionals are offered even more than the average handsome German salary package.
      You see, in the section, you're referring to, we try to give a whole picture. From the laborers to the skilled professionals volunteering their time in Germany.

    How could I book an appointment for FSJ? Is it a work or study? Because in online appointment system there are only two options 1. Work visa, 2. Study

    • @Frostfairs
      @Frostfairs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Saifur Imran, thanks for commenting.
      First, I've no idea where are you trying to book an appointment for FSJ.
      Second, volunteering is considered employment in Germany, so it would be working not studying. This means the first option "1. Work Visa" would more likely be the best for this.

    • @Frostfairs
      @Frostfairs  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi SK, Thanks for the question! Let me break it down.
      Yes, there are several volunteer programs in Germany that people from India can apply to. Some of the most popular ones include:
      1. Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (FSJ): for people usually under the age of 27.
      2. Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD): Federal Volunteer Service, open to both young and older people.
      3. Weltwärts: Germany’s voluntary program specifically for international volunteers.
      Hope that answers it! Let me know what you think, and join the community by subscribing!

      Hi Mr. Footballer, thanks for commenting.
      As explained in the video, there's no fixed rule for that. Rest assured, the higher, the better.
      Let me rephrase. Volunteering work that involves more people interaction in everyday life, like paramedics, needs a better or much higher level of German language than a garden caretaker who has to spend much of his time alone with the plants or trees.

      You're welcome, Sylvia.
      As long as you fulfill the minimum requirements mentioned in the video, you are as good to go as anyone else.
      The rest is just some extra formalities you need to fulfill.
      Like, bringing the dependents with you in Germany has something to do with your visa type. And as we all know, volunteering work in Germany is considered employment.
      So if you are entitled to live in Germany, your spouse or children under the age of 18 are also entitled by the law.

  • @achimmaier5102
    @achimmaier5102 ปีที่แล้ว

    May I clarify some points please?
    - 5500€ is NOT the minimum wage in germany! Actually with 5500€ you would be considered very rich in Germany!
    - Volunteering work is UNPAID work, thats why its called volunteering. Sometimes you get a little money, but it hardly is enough to cover your accomodation and living cost.
    - If you apply to germany, A1 language-test is not suffient.

    • @Frostfairs
      @Frostfairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Annah.
      It depends on the organization you're going to apply for volunteering. And that is because every volunteer organization has its own standards or requirements.
      So, it's best to confirm with the organization you're interested in working with.
      To give you an idea, most people already volunteering in Germany say, it was an A2 or B1 for 'em. Hope you get it. Thanks.

    I decided to apply for the Euro Volunteer 2024 and would like to ask you if there is a possibility to find a job and settle in Germany after the end of the event? is it legit or i will have to leave after visa expires

    • @Frostfairs
      @Frostfairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, thanks for commenting.
      You know what, John Sculley, former CEO of Apple Inc. and Pepsi says, the future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious.
      So when you're on the ground, it's you, who have to find, see, create, or carve possibilities for you.
      You can search for other jobs, you can give interviews for the jobs, and once you secure a job. The rest is the matter of your visa which is subject to the laws and policies that change from time to time. And of course, a secured job would have your back for that.

      Hi Gulshan, that's an interesting question. And guess we should make a proper video about interview preparation or tips to clear your interviews.
      But to give you some hints now, your interview questions would most likely be about your majors. For example, if your major subject or skill is about nursing, then you'd most likely be asked about that, a gardener would be asked about gardening, and so on.

      Ok so, your willingness to learn the German language is not merely enough. You'd have to prove it to the employer by appearing in a German language certification exam also.
      As explained in the video, you should have a German language certificate despite the fact what language grade it reflects. This means you don't need to master the German Language, in most cases basic working proficiency would be enough.
