none, my canon lens won't fit.
Maybe it would have been a better title choice to have "Best SONY camera for TH-cam"
*I had the Original ZV-1 & a6400 and then I traded those in for my CURRENT Sony Camera the FX30 and My second Sony Camera the ZV-E10 which I got Used for $500 body only as I already have APS-C lens and the ZV-E10 is an AMAZING budget Camera as it checks off almost all the dots. Sure it doesn't have the touch screen but what it lacks in just that is replaced by AMAZING videos, Another Good Video. Will You Guys be at Vidcon Next year?*
As always Omar great info. What camera you I buy for Yoga Classes (streaming or recording the classes)? Thank you
أتمنى أن احصل عليها لكن سعرها جدا مرتفع بالنسبة لي 😢😢
The best beginner camera is the camera that you already own.
Somebody said it. 100% correct
nah fr
Yeah I still shoot video with a Canon t2i
Bruh ..
I don't have a camera and my phone is redmi note 10s His cameras are like trash
@@0sl.w I think redmi / xiaomi / poco budget phone can still take decent video.
I am using POCO X3, not great camera but still acceptable.
With good lighting it can take above average quality.
Maybe try to work on the lighting?
So stoked to see your Pocket 3 review! Got mine a couple weeks back and it’s a beast.
Happy Thanksgiving Think Media! I love your channel and videos!
Your smartphone is best for beginners but you'll drain your phone's battery faster and you'll get distracted from vlogging by calls & texts. So i really think investing in a camera solely for the purpose of recording is a good decision.
Just put the phone on Airplane Mode. If you have any older phones sitting around in a drawer, they can put to use as dedicated video cameras.
All the cameras you are promoting are expensive for a beginner, man
That’s what I was just going to say! Bruh I’m a broke teenager that need money for school what do u want from me😂
iPhone 15 pro max camera is beautiful! Recorded all 10 days in japan in 4k, footage and videos came out super nice!
Great job, Sir!! Thank you for sharing
I use just iPhone XR in my videos now im 94k on TikTok and on TH-cam 2,8k I think it’s time to get camera Sony Alfa 5000 and take step to the next level thanks for the video ❤
Great video! I recently bought the a6700 and was wondering if you guys could make a best photo and video settings. Excited for my new camera!
It would’ve been nice to see at least one budget friendly cam in each category. 😩
There's plenty of decent cameras that can be found on the used market. I picked a Fuji S1 bridge camera for under $200 a few years ago to improve my still photography. I've been surprised how capable it is for doing video. It doesn't have a mic input, clean HDMI output, and it stops recording at 15 mins. However it has a flip out LCD, it'll do 60FPS 1080p, has very good IBIS, and the optics are absolutely insane (I call it a pocket telescope!). I do have to run external audio, and sync it in post, but I also didn't pay thousands for my gear.
@@lihtan Thanks for the info. However, I'm not in need of anything, I was just making a general comment. 😎
Definitely. I mean as a beginner, I'm hardly going to spend over £1K on a camera
This dudes videos are always crazy expensive for those on a “budget” 😂
Hello
Excellent and informative video. Thank you!
Thanks for the recommendation
Does Omar have a video/guide to the settings for his A6700 talking head setup?
Just got mine and I’d love to know how he sets it up.
Awesome great job on this project sir good luck to you
Tons of knowledge in this. Great video!
Very clear voice. Thank you.
Love yur guys stuff
Thank you for the video!
Really helpful - thank you!!!
Love your reports! Thanks!
Your little daughter is SO cute!!!!! Is this her first TH-cam video with Dad? Happy Thanksgiving!!🦃🦃🦃
Showing big love to the crop sensors. Good stuff.
Thank you for this, i was going around seeing what all cameras are out there for beginner youtubers
What camera did you decide on?
Thanks for sharing your expertise
I’m such a fan of USB-Webcam mirrorless camera setups(DJI Osmo Pocket 3 also has a clean USB-Webcam function)! There aren’t any multiple-camera-setup videos solely using USB-Webcam instead of using video switchers. A future video covering this would be cool.
I have a cheap multi-cam setup that consists of a few inexpensive UVC webcams, that I connect by using OBS. I found the cameras discounted to $7 at my grocery store, and OBS is a free download.
@@lihtanwhich webcams?
@@gaips Any webcam that's UVC compliant. The ones I found were branded as "Helix StreamLED"
Very good content info!! Thank you
Waiting to see the dji pocket 3 comparison. Please highlight livestream 2-3h use. How would you mount that on your rolling light stand?
Great Title and Thumbnail but the first recommendation is wild for a "Beginner" youtube camera. Definitely made me rethink juat use a cellphone and forget it lol
Thanks for your recommendations. The line-up is very Sony focused. Would you consider any of the Canon line up? If you were looking for a good hybrid combo that can do video and photos, would you still choose the FX30?
I second this, in looking for comparisons, many videos are leaning towards Sony because of their newer launches. The Think Media recommendation videos are no different.
ZV-E10 is awesome. (I make talking head videos and do Zoom/Teams calls.)
What lav mic are you using with the Rode Wireless Pro?
Hi, thanks for the super interesting video.
Can you give me the reference of the wireless microphone you use? And you say that we can connect the cameras directly to the computer with a USB cable. So what is the Elgato cam link for? I thought you absolutely had to have one to connect your camera to the computer.
Another question, what do you do with the battery? Do you leave the camera plugged in or is there another system to avoid damaging the battery?
THANKS.
Dude! Fuji allows you to select the mic. input to line level which completely bypasses the mic preamp. This allows you to send audio from fine outboard sound sources/microphones and bake that audio straight into the video. The Sony's don't allow this at least my 6500 does not.
good lighting and audio are WAY MORE important than the camera you are using. An Iphone with good lighting will crush any of the cameras mentioned in the video if not lit right
Relevant, but this is a list of the best cameras. Important items also not included: human content creator, electricity, a plan.
Well the camera will absorb light differently no?
@@JustReaon it is more about lighting the subject correctly, even a very old camera will perform great with good lighting. Even the most expensive camera will still look rubbish if the lighting is wrong
@@mikesunboxing I wouldn’t have guessed, thank you 🙏🏼
Amazing 😍
Good Morning ☀️
great vid!!!!
Wow beautiful camera for vlogging nice video
All you need is an older used 1080p camera for podcasts (and most other things too). 1080p is max you’ll ever get going through Zoom or Streamyard, etc.
I'm currently using my smart phone 😊
Great videos, well presented, nicely shot with good clear and thoughtful advice showing good knowledge and understanding of various workflows, no BS which is great. Only critique is the amount of times the word "literally" is used throughout to emphasise things - seems a trap a lot of creators have fallen into which I just personally just find very distracting when it's so frequently misused. At 7.25 "literally" is used 3 x times in the one sentence so worth being mindful of, apart from that, really awesome work!
informative content
Sounds great.
Since your video's called "...for TH-cam Beginners": What kind of second hand choices not breaking the bank, like e.g. the Sony A5000, would be some you could recommend? Thanks in advance!
What are your thoughts on fuji xs20? It would be cool to see a review on it.
thank you brodir
What about using the ZV-1ii "Vlog camera" also for talking head type videos? Is it not as good for these kind of videos? I mean it's way cheaper (especially now in blackweek sales)
Hi, whats the model of wireless mic you're using in this video please? Great content, thanks!
Great video. You had mentioned your setup that you recommend for talking head videos is the Sony A6700 with the Sigma 16mm lens. Just wondering if the sigma 16 mm lens is the same lens that you can get on the Sony website for an extra $100 when you buy the Sony A6700 because when I click on the lens in your description the lens is $500 as a standalone product. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!
excellent video
Thank you so much for the reviews. One thing that I noticed is that you prefer SONY as a camera. What do you think about the Canon R50 as an entrance camera comparable to the SONY ZV-E10?
I am a Canon person, the problem with the R50 is the number of lenses on the market for it, and that is why they push Sony more. Or that is my understanding.
I’d love a recommendation on what lens would be best for clothing try on videos on a canon 90D. I can’t get my whole body in and I look wider than I am with the lens I have.
The answers may vary depending on how much space you have while filming but you can get a wide angle zoom 20-35mm for example and that would cover you in most situations since that camera body has a crop factor.
I agree with bonniebob. Also if you have limited space, you can add distance by making the camera shoot what is in the mirror and you stand back from the mirror. Longer lens like 40-80mm will make you look less wide. The 50mm lens is supposed to be the most "natural" look but it depends on how close the camera is. On your camera it is the 35mm lens. I hope that makes sense.
hey omar...very useful video.. can u pls share link or name of the calender you hv in ur videos... thnk you :)
Wow really that's great beautiful
I have the Sony A6700 it is nearly perfect camera
Would like a recommendation for product unboxing reviews where the product and accessories are the focus.
What external wireless microphone would you recommend for the Sony ZV- E10
If you got fiber internet ? The osmo is ideal or another with fast wifi . Image are usually prettier then if saved on a card .
Best camera
Thanks
Can we please get a video about how you guys use the RODE wireless system + audio settings!!!
Wow! thank you so much for this detailed info. I'm curious, I do crafting videos and I have a 3.5' by 4.5' working surface, and a 3' top-down height to mount my camera (Canon EOS M50 MKII) what lens would you recommend to for these videos. Right now, I use the kit lens (15mm-45mm), but I find I'm having adjust the camera angle each time I shift from my cutting board to my sewing machine. I'd like to have a single POV that covers the full area. your insight is greatly appreciated!!
I've heard that the Canon EF-M 11-22mm Lens is a good option for getting a wider and better shot than the standard kit lens. I hope this gets you the shot that you want out of the camera if you decide to try it out. :)
The problem is not the camera or resolution is the transfer from the cámara to TH-cam where it lose all the spark and resolution imho. So you need an editing softward to maintain the level of clarity I guess
For vlogging, nothing beats the Osmo pocket 3. The quality of that camera is literally like a mirrorless camera. It has a built in gimbal, the low light performance is great. Overall, this video has some great recommendations. A6700, FX30, ZV-E10, Pocket 3 etc
Thanks for that. I was looking for something besides my phone to record gym vlogs. Something that is lightweight and performs well indoors or with low light.
@@ThunderQuad_Tosh and don't forget that it will follow you if you're moving around, a better camera for you doesn't exist lol.
what about gaming?
@@kirk7069 I see no reason why you can't use it for gaming 🤷🏾♂️
Betwen the DJI Pocket 3 and Sony ZV-E10 Camera, which would you chose and why ?
??
Can you recommend a lense for focusing on on my hands using brushes for painting miniatures? Or better yet, something may be versatile enough to shoot both?
Interesting information, I would like to know what are the life span for each of these cameras? How long are they good for when taking much care as you possibly can.
I use the Sony ZV1 for talking head videos with studio lights
Do all those Sony’s have image stabilization? That DJI looks great but it’s not weather resistant, though if you shoot indoors all the time I guess it won’t matter 😁
Hi, what camera would tou recommend for product reviews? Thanks
More incredible value in this video. Thanks, Omar and Think!
What is the current mic setup that you have during the "podcast" section?
what is the microphone model that you clipped to your hoodie plz?
Awesome video Omar.
For video podcasts and live streaming, would you go with the FX 30 or the ZV E1? Both are full frame right?
Thank you so much!
On TH-cam Studio it says I’m ready to select my form of payment on AdSense. So I go to do that and there is no option to do so. I watched a tutorial and the button to do so isn’t showing on my screen. On studio it says I’ve made well over my $100 payment threshold but on AdSense it still says I’m at $0. Does anyone know the fix to this? Thanks!
Are you still recommending the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 lens on the live stream camera, or would there be another recommendation?
In my opinion, it‘s the iPhone 15 pro with the Shure SM7B Mic (via USB-c cable direct from the audio interface into the iPhone)
Please What's your experience using iPhone 15 Pro for shooting Videos ?
I want to purchase iPhone 14 pro max for it's Camera.
Please What's your Advice ?
?
DJI Pocket 3 is the way to go! Just get the creator package and you are golden ✨️ 💛
Great video! I bought a DJI Pocket 2 and I like it but the battery just doesn't last. Is there a solution to this issue that I'm missing?
i’m interested in making lives but whilst walking ie. using my iphone as internet?? also what is the best gimble for lives on my iphone?? i need to look into this.. thanks
I am really liking the sony zv-1 the more I see reviews on it. However I am worried about future proofing myself. Investing $700 for a camera that I will need to upgrade to a $2k camera in a year or so, makes me hesitant. I really like your minimalist streaming setup. Is there a downside to using that for more of a "talking head" type youtube video?
Thanks for the comment Darrin! I don't think there is an immediate downside to using the ZV-1 for "talking head" videos. Realistically, all these cameras can be used to different applications. One thing I would consider if you are looking to future proof yourself is if you think you will need to be able to change out lenses.
@@marcgabasTHINKIn this case the Sony Zv e10 is the best option.
I use a canon r8. It’s been good to me. ✌️
Which lens would you recommend for a video podcast? interview like
Which lens would you recommend for the video podcast setup?
Nice man .. one question.. what do I need to start een reaction channel .. and how do I begin from scrap..
So I'm a professional harpist and I'm looking for a great camera to get the best videos of my music and playing for my youtube channel. I know I don't really fit into any of those categories but I was wondering what cameras (or Iphones) you would recommend. Thank you!
Hi Omare, i do sea fishing and im wondering what camera would be good for me to do you tube vids, it will be put on a tripod and left to record, i would need a flip out screen, external mic port and connect a external battery if possible, i did watch this video but cant get my head round the tech stuff, many thanks mate oh and if possible around £500
What about some cheap camera for channel reviewing board games for kids? It's static but needs to capture small details like text on cards etc.
How about using the Sony ZV-E10 for video podcasts?
Nice
I'm not a beginner (been making films since mid 70's) but I'm looking for a vlog camera that can take macro close-ups for showing ppl my miniatures and model works. Any ideas?
I have been trying to find a good camera to upgrade my TH-cam videos. I have been using an iPhone 14. I do videos showing overgrown yard clean ups. So most shots are far and close. Action and still. Up close and far. Any recommendations?
Your videos look great! What are your drawbacks of using the iPhone?
got a question... could the zv-e10 still work for talking head stuff
What would be the upgrade from iPhone for shooting cooking videos ????
Where did you get your hoodie, I like that?
Hello, I am looking to get a nice camera that has high quality, and 4k or 8k . which camera would you recommend? Thank you.
I love how all of these cameras are really expensive. Nice for “beginners”. 🤦♂️
Gotta spend money to make money my guy.
No worry about overheating for zve1 vs fx30?
Where did you buy that calendar in the back?
Can you please make a seperate video on the setup break down @8:19??
How about the hybrid camera? Talking head videos and vlogs?
which has the best on board audio? Not interested in adding outboard microphones. Want an all-in-one audio/video solution.
