What the "weather is like" really depends on where you are from, how your personal perspective is on things like warm and cold, wet and dry. In the last few years the >average< max. daytime temperature in January was around 6° and in July around 28° C. in the city centre. So the winter temperatures can be roughly compared to cities like Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC and summer temperatures can be roughly compared to cities like Paris, Seattle, Moscow. The average annual precipitation, mostly rain with only a handful snowy days each winter, was 718 mm, spread relatively evenly all over the year but with more cloudy/rainy days in winter and more heavy thunderstorms in summer. I would say on average Stuttgart has a mild climate, not too hot, not too cold but with very dark cloudy winters. In return, sometimes in summer, you can get longer stretches of sunny and hot weather.
any idea why when I tell Germans about a love interest I met , they all laugh when I mention he was from stuttgart. What's the story with the area? what are the people known for?
What's the success of getting employed if you only speak English? Talking about roles such as: Account management, Customer Success or Sales. Are there many Start-ups?
it is easier to find jobs for engineers or jobs in IT in English, in other sectors or positions is very difficult, they always require an advanced German.
I come from Kernen in the Remstal about 10 km from Stuttgart and am a Swabian. To answer your question, the original population has long been the minority in the Stuttgart region, where about 2.8 million people live. There are no exact figures, but the percentage of foreigners in districts like Feuerbach, Bad Cannstatt or Untertürkheim is over 90%. Even outside the city of Stuttgart, in the metropolitan areas or in the catchment area, we are already the minority. You can hardly hear people speaking Swabian anymore. Many children of Swabians have never learned Swabian because their parents speak High German. On the other hand, there are hardly any Germans or Swabian offspring. I am now already in my mid-20's. In my vocational school class, in my secondary school class and in my studies, I was always in the minority as a German. As a Swabian anyway. Out of about 30 students, always one of about 2-4 Germans. My mother works in a kindergarten. In groups with about 20-25 children, there are about 2 German children. Often none at all. So it is absolutely devastating.
@@simonsays2774 That was alarming! Hope Government offers more incentives for having babies apart from existing tax benefits. Let there be more Germans!
@@sthoyyeti The opposite is being pushed by the German government. Sounds crazy, but enough Germans vote for a government that absolutely despises them and wants them gone. So outside of the greater Stuttgart area, there are still many Swabians. But the closer you get to major German cities, the fewer Germans there are.
I was there Saturday and we used the bus/train combination.
Thank you very much for such an informative video! I really appreciate this!
There are 5.3 million people in the Stuttgart metropolitan area, so that's definitely not small.
Danke schön.. That's indeed a good video and nice city.
Hey! Thanks for a nice video :)
Could you please also say something about climate in the area? What's weather is like?
cold cold and cold LOL

Was heißt wie ist es in Stuttgart zu leben. Jeder lebt auf seine Art. Manche sind viel draußen und andere sind nur Zuhause. Jeder wie er Lust hat.
