Cats are very accustomed to using specific body language and meows to their human owners as they don’t meow at their own species. So they are already “ talking” to us in a sense. Which is why they are les prone to using their talk buttons and set on their ways - my hypothesis
I think that's a very good one. I've always been alittle 50/50 with the buttons and choosing whether to use them or not, both my cats 100% understand English at the very least my English and dialect I've taught them(which is why when close visitors are over using their personal nicknames or making new ones is important) so I'm worried that if I taught them buttons I would do it inaccurately and regress what they already know 😓
