It seems Bali is fairly liberal and somehow spared from the mainstream Muslim social norms. Jegeg Bulan has the most uplifting songs out of all Indonesian singers I have followed recently. I also highly appreciate Bulan's commitment and bonding to her backup dancers as they are featured in all of her works rather than different choreographic casts here and there. And of course, Bali is at the heart of her beautiful tunes, showing her unwavering support for her heavenly home island. Kudos to Bulan and your excellent team.
Ah yeah, strereotypical, this is called koplo, and other region in indonesia also have it. You also can check other singer like "Azmy Z" and "Niken Salindry" and "Kuwung Wetan Story" for example.

Recently, I tried to learn this segment from the song "Mekelo kelo beli saja liunan munyi" from Care Bebek. After dinner, I tried singing this lyrics in front of the Indonesian girl who works at my house and I don't know anything about it. She first widened her eyes and then laughed wildly, gesturing to "love" and asking me to sing again. And it would be perfect if it were added to the Jegeg Bulan MV for the hip wagging dance. She wants the video to be posted on Facebook for her friends in Indonesia to watch. But I refused. Because her eyes and expression told me. I sing very funny.
