    You confused bytes and bits here which is really fatal because 8 bit are 1 byte. I hope you make or have an updated version of this because 13000 Kbps (Kilobit NOT byte) is NOT 13 Megabyte it is 1.625 Megabyte per second. Sry if im a bit late to the party but it confused me in the beginning.

      Thanks for this info man, you're a lifesaver. I've got 200+Mbps upload but thought I needed more just for streaming at this quality, so thanks for the clarification.

    19.000 Kbps are not 19 MB/s, it's 19.000 kiloBITS, not kiloBYTES. so we are talking about 2,375 MegaBytes per second, not 19 MegaBytes.

    • @ManCityGaming47
      @ManCityGaming47 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      19,000 kB per second is 19 MB per second. I don’t know what you’re talking about you need to go back to math class bud.

      @@ManCityGaming47 dude replying to my comment after a year sending me to the math class without a basic understanding of IT. Let me give you a lesson...
      Here we explain data transfer rates, not capacity or storage. Kbps and Mbps refers to data transfer rates in multiples of bits, not bytes. So its KiloBits not KiloBytes. A byte contains 8 bits. And therefore 19000 kbps, which are 19000 KiloBits per second are 19 MegaBits per second. It's not MegaBytes. And 19 MegaBits are 2,375 MegaBytes. You are welcome. ❤

    Hi Andrew, I have a question for which you may have more experience to answer. I'll describe briefly the setup. There are two PCs, A and B. The PC - A is the gaming one that runs on a 4K 144Hz monitor, a RTX 3090 and an OBS instance sending NDI to PC - B over a separate gigabit network that's not connected to the internet. PC - B runs also OBS, has dual 2080 Tis, receives the NDI output from A successfully in 4K 60fps, and the image looks great on the preview with almost no latency at all. However, when I stream on TH-cam, the footage looks terrible. It's worth mentioning that PC - B has also 4K settings configure globally, but on the streaming tab, I downscale it to 2K and stream it with 15000 kbps bitrate (the internet connection from PC - B is 150/150 Mbps uplink downlink). I can't imagine what's wrong. It's been a while since I started troubleshooting to figure out the bad quality of the 2K video that comes on TH-cam, but no luck thus far. Any ideas?

    Hi. With the configuration of RTX 4090 + 7950X3D and an internet connection of 1000/300 Mbps, which option do you recommend more: x264 or Nvidia NVENC? From my tests, it appears that when a game is more CPU-intensive, like CS2 or Valorant, the Nvidia codec gives slightly better results. However, for games that are more GPU-intensive, x264 provides a few additional FPS. Do they also differ in quality or anything else that could help decide which is better?
    I've also seen the Enhanced Broadcast options, but from what I've checked, it seems to perform more calculations on our hardware, which also makes it more taxing and reduces performance compared to traditional codecs - but it offers 10500 bitrate instead of 6000 and the possibility to choose stream quality even without a partnership.
    Additionally, I have a 1440p monitor, so I'm not sure if it's a good choice to run the stream with only one available resolution of 1440p or scaled down to 1080p to ensure no one has issues with lags.

    It's been a while since I did this stuff, and don't have OBS installed on my system atm.

      It will if you don't have quality options, and your viewers can't select a lower quality. TH-cam streaming always has quality options, but if you're streaming on twitch and you're not a Twitch Partner, it's a roll of the dice. However, I have found that when I start streaming, I can just keep stopping and re-starting the stream and I'll usually get quality options within a few restarts.

    You're taking 13000kbps, adding 50% of that, and ending up at 19MB/s somehow? How do you explain the change of unit, or the fact that adding 50% to 13mbps suddenly requires you to have 152mbps (19MB/s)?

    Not sure why bitrate is an issue. My ISP gives me huge internet speed for free. My internet speed test gave me 600 Mbps upload speed. Not sure what's normal in the rest of the world.

      bitrate affects the quality of the video stream. too low(below 2000), and its a fuzzy mess. Too high, stream might lag. Might crash nvenc.

    "Bitrate set it to at minimum 6000kbps..."
    TH-cam and Twitch: "I am gonna stop you right there. Are you partnered / Affiliate? No? Well set it back to 3500kbps if you don't want to get banned."

      You don’t need to be a partner for 6000kbs is for higher than that
