Hi been there twice......great castle and magical atmosphere!!!!!! silence wind seagulls and the "noise" of the sea nothing else.........hope to return once again with my son........greetings from Italy
I've been there three times and I hope to visit the castle again in the future. I really want to walk the coastal path from stonehaven to the castle one more time. Love it!
Thank you for sharing your video. I will be "Mother of the Groom" at the top of Dunnottar 8/31/2013. I'm feeling very emotional at this time yet so excited!! -Deronda
Through my Ancestry research I learned that my Keiths, and most Keiths in New England all descend from a son of ❤Dunnottar , the young Reverend James Keith, who sailed to the colonies at age 20 in 1643, established a parish in Massachusetts , and "" filled New England with Keiths"❤
That's quite a big claim to say it's "the most famous castle in Scotland"! I'm not sure many Scots or others round the globe would agree with the statement, many more will have heard of Edinburgh Castle, or even Stirling Castle. But Dunnottar....? I don't think so.
I am so proud to be in the Keith lineage!! 💚

Wouldn't call the Kincardine coast The North East. Sutherland and Caithness are in the North.
