I notice you didn't fiddle endlessly stacking kick sounds to make the 'perfect' kick like so many producers always say is sooo important. Refreshing. Like. You think layering kicks overrated?
it really depend what type of kick, for industrial techno I like to layer, for peak time techno too sometime. For deep style like dub techno where the kick is more round and 808style, I layer less often, mayby adding a click or short transient, but it's more about how your design it in the first place. but they are no rules, sometimes I layer sometimes no,
