Originally in the Japenese version: M.Bison (USA) was named Vega Vega (USA) was named Balrog Balrog (USA) was named M.Bison Since Mike Tyson was a boxer, at the time, the US didn't want to deal with lawsuits with a highly similar charcter (of M. Bison) so they changed the names around a bit. Bison turned into Balrog, Balrog turned into Vega, and Vega turned into Bison...
So the lyrics could respond as quickly as possible, and the already fast tone of his original theme would make it impossible, even if you were an auctioneer
I visited Spain once in 2000, and it's pure beauty just left me awestruck, especially the mountains and castles I saw. I would definitely love to be in Madrid and just chill out. They are the kings of chilling out, IMO. :)
I downloaded this way back in like 2001 personally. it's been around for some time probably released on some instrumental compilation. Yeah this version is the best I've heard so far.
I got it from Galbadia Hotel. I found the place by searching for it on Google. Finding the song itself may take a while, but you can also get other Vega music while searching :) Be warned that Vega is called "Balrog" on that site, which means that you are looking for "Balrog" music. Good luck!
I'm not surprised man. I'm talking about the one in my country though. I am proud of being from where I am. Our country's history is probably the greatest of all other countries in South America pal.
I had the SNES port so you could not hid behind that... lol. I am getting old . I was about to say those were the good old days when you had to be near your friend to play him,
@bznraisu I'm currently in Spain for study abroad. Valencia more specifically. Yes, it's mostly Caucasian. It's also mostly dark hair, though there are a few blonds here and there. So if you're asking to see how accurate Vega's design is, there are no flaws. As for his fighting style, I don't know. I would like to see a second Spanish character who is a bull fighter though.
This is Balrog's theme from the Street Fighter 2 Instrumental Album. google search: Galbadia Hotel and search for the album mentioned above. Remember, you will want to DL the theme for Balrog (since Vega is his english name). If you DL Vega's theme you will get M.Bison...
I remember when i was playing a street fighter game when i was small. I Played as him. Then as i was fighting i removed his claw & then i managed to put it back again. It was on the PS1 Or PS2. It was 3D too. I can't remember which Game
I know where you can get a vocal version of this: Galbadia Hotel. Search for the site on Google. But before you do, I need to tell you that Vega is called "Balrog" on that site. So, be on the lookout for "Balrog" tunes. Hope you find it.
@TokiWartoothNABB The character M.Bison/Balrog (boxer) Had his name changed so Capcom wouldn't get sued (or so the CEO's ear wouldn't get bitten off XD), They chose Vega for the matador and M.Bison for the Dictator because M.Bison is more intimidating. That's why many times on the internet you will see Balrog (claw), M. Bison (boxer), and Vega (dictator) when Japanese people write it, and Vega (claw), Balrog (boxer), and M.Bison (dictator) when Americans write it
I've beaten the whole series besides the 1st classic Nintendo games such as the first MG. I own MGS SnakeEater and enjoyed playing it all the way through.
@LennethX360 I think that doesn't matter much. I think the name of the attack contains Barcelona because it's the most famous city in Spain, but his scenario is clearly from Andalucia, south of Spain, architecture and flamenco are the clues. For other way, I'd rather not to think about where in Spain is Vega from, the same way I'd rather not to know where in Japan is Ryu from or where in India is Dhalsim from. If I knew it and I went there, I'd be sad not to find them there street fighting
I agree with Assault016, I am also of Spaniard descent as well as Cuban descent and I have no qualms with other Hispanics--good character does not discriminate between heritages.
I also want to see if I could get VF5 since it was going out for a low price. I'm into fighting games by the way. I can't wait til the new SoulCaliber and Tekken are released.
even nowadays vega is a character without equal. you could really see the fear in ken's eyes when they fought...and that ken didn't win just cause his 1 of the good guys. i tell you, nobody here will be seeing a fight like that so soon!
His name may originally have been Balrog, but I think the name switches were for the better. Balrog sounds more brutish, which suits the Boxer better, and Vega sounds more effeminate, which suits the slasher concerned with his beauty image better. Also, this theme is pretty damn awesome.
Yes, he is a ninja bullfighter (bullfighting is now forbidden in Catalonia) from Barcelona, Spain. Come on, he is wearing as pants the flag of the Republic of Spain. Vega rules.
@darkspirit1973 Yeah, I think the only one that truly got the shaft was Bison. I mean, seriously, anything could have suited him better than that. Hell, "Clifford" would've suited him better. And again, whoever came up with this rendition of the Vega theme deserves a gold star. This could pass for a movie soundtrack, let alone a video game one.
Actually, originally his name was supposed to be Mike Bison, but for obvious reasons they changed it just made it M. Bison. (I didn't read the comment that you responded to (laziness), but I'm guessing that you were talking about his name.)
Well spanish started as a form of vulgar latin. Although there's alot of words in. I'm assuming you already know how the language came to be. You said you want to know where I'm from. Ok I'm from South America and am proud of being from there. My country's millitary just rescued 15 hostages. And the good news is now being known worldwide.
Even though balrog was from las vegas, don't forget there are plenty of american cities with spanish names like los angeles san antonio san diago etc...
i don't know what version you were playing but in all versions of street fighter (even the englsih version) balrog is the boxer. vega has always been the spanish guy

Lo maximo Vega, yo también soy Vega de Guayaquil, Ecuador
Listen at 1,25 speed...Much better now
+Dante Harris It really does sound much better. Don't know why they made this so slow, Vega's theme is supposed to be fast.
+Dante Harris
sounds more like the game that way
So the lyrics could respond as quickly as possible, and the already fast tone of his original theme would make it impossible, even if you were an auctioneer
make 1.5 speed brah
Dante Harris Simón extranjero
¡Me gusta la canción! Saludos de Brazil 2017.

"Handsome fighters never lose battles"
God was that line cheesy. How could you not love it?
Hahaha

definitely one of the best pics of Vega
Beautiful composition, stunningly emotional. One of the best game scores of all time
This has to be one of the best versions of his stage theme ever made.
This sounds AWESOME!!!! I think its better than the slow version. Your rendition makes vega seem more dark and sinister. Good job!
I'm not surprised man.
I'm talking about the one in my country though. I am proud of being from where I am.
Our country's history is probably the greatest of all other countries in
South America pal.
@zervver Definitely Baca, he was born in Cataluña and one of his attacks is called the Flying Barcelona Attack.
*with the beat*
VEGA
VEGA

That runs in my head while listening to this.
@chibiraid He is from Barcelona, Catalonia. -North of Spain-
wow!....very different, but still classic as ever!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!
In the Catalan region there was a Viking raid in detail but it was according to an online resource. The Visigoths were a German.
This needs to be remastered. Epic.
Understood. I'd like to visit
Valencia & Barcelona some day though.
I had the SNES port so you could not hid behind that... lol. I am getting old . I was about to say those were the good old days when you had to be near your friend to play him,

Por cierto, temazo este de Vega. Y JUEGAZO cualquier Street Fighter.
Lo más grande
This is perfect... I love this version of his theme song!
My favorite player!

HAHAH! Back in the day! Holy cow, I DO feel old!
I love the character Vega. He motivates me to grow my hair out long and workout. I wish I could pull the girls that he pulls.
like a red rose with spikes; proud, beauty, yet danger to those it holds.
I found it on Galbadia Hotel. Search for "Balrog" music if you go there, because they've got the names switched around.
I'm latin and I love spain. GO SPAIN!
This is Balrog's theme from the Street Fighter 2 Instrumental Album.
google search: Galbadia Hotel and search for the album mentioned above.
Remember, you will want to DL the theme for Balrog (since Vega is his english name).

Osiosi
"Yeeeeeow!" "Shyyyyyyaaawww!" "U2!"
@MarianZep It's all about the castanets and the guitar. Can you hear the bullfight? Bienvenido a España.
Vega's one of the reasons I am proud to be from espana

@Xtremeownage I feel ya man, I always play with RYU first choice, but Vega is one of my favs as well
Y asi es como suena la muerte, antes de tocar a tu puerta.

Wow
Where did you find this?
The last time I heard this was about 15 years ago (and it was just as badass then as well)
even nowadays vega is a character without equal.
you could really see the fear in ken's eyes when they fought...and that ken didn't win just cause his 1 of the good guys. i tell you, nobody here will be seeing a fight like that so soon!
IS REALLY EPIC
Perfect Theme !
awesome sayd
Makes me want to climb a cage, jump off it and shout "YEEOW!" Thank you for a gorgeous time!
Omg, I love this.

Also, this theme is pretty damn awesome.
I love this!
BRAVO!!!
Vega-Fabio LaCedra is such a gentleman.
(Es Viva la Gloria, Viva España y Viva Vega!)
That boom, clap at the beginning reminds me of Sephiroth's theme.
lol "DAAAHHH"
awesome stuff
never ever seen a blond spanish guy btw, but who care that's still cool, love that theme.
cool guitar bro
We should protest Vega is a tall Spanish kick ass to idle and to arrogant, the actor should be the same, no one qualifies yet
if any1 notices, this song almost sounds like Sephiroth. xD
awesome song :]
So good!
any one know where i can download this version of vega's theme? can only seem to find the older versions which aren't as good as this one.
Yes, he is a ninja bullfighter (bullfighting is now forbidden in Catalonia) from Barcelona, Spain. Come on, he is wearing as pants the flag of the Republic of Spain. Vega rules.
XBOX360 is the popular console the U.S., but as a veteran I know which console has been the best since the beginning dude.
It was Celtiberians,Romans,Visigoths, and then moors which is where the flamenco comes from andalucia from the moors.
VEGA is number 1
fantastico
what i have experienced, isn't it?
regards from spain :D
sweetness!
Yeah on ESPN remember?
@darkspirit1973

(CARMEN - L'amour est enfant de bohème) is this the theme tune in the movie coz for some reason it reminds me of vega
Putting it at 1,25 that is perfect!!!
Mabye yes

Almost everyone in the western world is mixed.
Spaniards are mixed 2 and you know it man.
