Aw Veronica, thanks for being so honest. I totally understand how you feel. There's SO much excitement leading up to a shop update (and we're really pouring our heart and soul into it) and once it goes live, we're just waiting and hoping for the best. It feels so personal. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not alone in how I feel because I totally resonate with everything you said! Cheers to more growth girl!
Man, the middle bit about you talking about the shop update and how it affected you, it really hits home. I am also trying to be an artist fulltime and I often feel completely defeated! This is the first vlog I watched from you and I really enjoyed it!
I feel a lot of what you're saying!!! I constantly feel like I'm just putting stuff in a void even though I know it takes time to build a following. Just know that even if it takes longer than you think and in smaller steps rather than all at once you got this!!!
Thanks for your vlogs, they are so refreshing. You keep it real and transparent. The struggle is real. I'm just starting and it's sooooo hard to build an audience. I've decided to scale back from my shop and work on building an audience first, which has been incredibly difficult on all social media platforms. It definitely demotivates me at times and makes me feel like what's the point, but also I keep pushing because who knows where I'll be a year from now. Take it one day at a time and before you know it, time has passed and growth has accumulated. Keep your head up. There will be better times ahead.
big hugs Veronica, I think your art & video's are so adorable and comforting. I totally know the frustration you're feeling. but just keep on creating and sharing, everything will grow and come together in ways beyond what you can imagine, efforts will be rewarded I'm sure
i had the exact same feelings on my last shop update as you, it was also the opening of my shopify store (but my etsy is still open) orders came in very slow and not nearly what i was used to with previous shop updates (i also never reached hundreds in one day but clearly more than the last time) made me feel like a total failure, doubting to work on new products - what if it stays like this? but i feel like many other small businesses struggle with this too at the moment. maybe people are not in a buying-mood currently. so i'm here, hoping for better times to come again, because i don't want to give up on my little shop yet :3 *fingerscrossed Congrats on your shop moving!
yes I know times are tough so its scary >.< but thank you for your transparency as well! it always brings me back to reality when others share stuff like this and so i know its not just me
i relate to this soooo much, and even wanted to ask if you have any advice for a shop that gets NO traction despite sooo many people telling me "its cute!" but not cute enough to buy ( that hit hard lol ) i look up to you so much !! please hang in there and if you have any advice on how to promote ?? get customers ?? i JUST started posting on TH-cam because having a bunch of followers on instagram did not seem like it was enough as no one goes to my shop -____- sorry for the rant, THANKYOU FOR MAKING SUCH AMAZE VIDEOS, VERONICA !! ♡ i also hope you enjoyed LA !! i am from LA and Highland Park is the hooood lol did you get to visit The Pop-Hop Bookstore down the street from Shorthand ??
Aw I feel so bad for you :( Maybe it's just a European thing (I'm not too smart on this topic lol), but prices are rising immensely and maybe people are just extra cautious with spending money? At least that's the case for me, I can't really support artists that much atm although I would love to. I could also be wrong, maybe it's just for me personally, but that's the first thing that came to mind and I don't think you did anything wrong!! Love your videos as always :)
@@mystikmisfit Good to know I'm kind of up to date with the world, but that's the only good thing about it 😅 In this case I would probably rather be wrong lol
Your honesty and genuine expression is the best thing about this channel, thank you so much for sharing!
The algorithm really is crazy 🥺 I’m thinking of opening a shop on Etsy because it’s so difficult to drive traffic to my own website ❤
