I think this is the reason people are saying bruschetta wrong.
You see, the 3 letters combined ‘sch’, usually in German, are usually making the sound ‘sh’ as in ‘schnitzel’. This is what non-Italians can get confused about. But, I know, this is the _italian_ language and pronounciation is diverse and unique for every country.
Isn't it weird how when non-native speakers speak English with a heavy accent, even mispronouncing words, correcting their English is rude. But when it's an English speaker speaking any other foreign language, you HAVE to pronounce it right.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
Even in English we know sch sound can be sk as in school. No different

@@TheSteam02 In real life, Italians will never make fun of you for you accent. We love it when people try to speak in our language and we acknowledge that some of us aren't that good at pronuncing English words.
The people who act mean, are those on social media who either like to school people and feel superior, or who joke about the matter and then can make fun of their own mistakes too.
You're rarely gonna find an Italian in real life who dismisses you for your accent...that is the wicked power of social media.

Hello, Lionfield. I'd like to request something.
You should visit Greece and try this food.
1st: Souvlaki. It's one of the most popular foods in Greece. It's basically a wooden stick with meat pieces pierced on it. The meat is usually either chicken or pork.
2nd: musaka. It's like a salty cheesecake. The upper part is cheese, the middle is potato, and the down is minced meat from cow meat.
