I just purchased one of these yesterday, in the darker Moss Green. I was overdue for a new SUV, as I upgraded from a Sorento that I bought new in 2012. This model/trim has SO many features that I think I need to attend a few classes to learn them all!
@@MattTheCarguy We got the Everlasting Silver SX Prestige.... last week. It is so sweet! Love that Jungle Green color with the Xline blackout. Wish we would have gotten that blackout appearance package..... I like the way that big lower front bumper element is blacked out and less 'in your face' than our silver bumper on ours.....
I bought one in Wolf Gray. I love it. I traded my 2023 Sportage in for the Telluride. I do not like the automatic rear gate feature while walking up to the gate. The rear gate tired to lock me in it while putting stuff in the rear.
@@MattTheCarguy That trim definitely has a heads up display. I was amazed at how it showed pretty much all the roadside signs (speed limit, road warning/hazards, etc.)
I need to know if the amber headlights and blacked out exterior parts can be order for a 2023.. I’m literally LIVID my 2023 XLine wasn’t blacked out, horrible decision by Kia!
I am sure that you can order them as replacement part but it wont be chaep. It may be easier to have them painted at the body shop. But not the lights of course.
Telluride still wins. Period. The ONLY downside is that finding one without a dealer playing the shell game on you is going to be challenging. You either get addendums or other BS addons, or if they don't do that they get their profit on financing, and if they don't do that they lowball your tradein. These are popular, so you're going to pay markup one way or another.
Thats true. Know what you want to pay before going into a dealership. Judging by the inventory level even on the Tellurides they will should be more inclined to "deal" as the lots are filling up.
We have a Kia dealer in Murphy, NC that we've been very pleased with. No pressure, tricks or gimmicks. Bought our second Telluride recently. Same exterior color with terracotta interior. Very attractive.
I’ve had my Kia for 8 years and I’ve never put a dime into repairs. The reason a lot cars/trucks etc fail is because people do not do maintenance per the schedule. My Kia has 115k miles and it’s my second Kia and I’m purchasing a Telluride this next week. I am 98% sure I will have another 10 years with no issues (major).
Great car on paper and these video reviews but reliability from the KIA consumer blog paints a different story . I want to buy but the stories of failures are concerning. Can a follow up investigation story be done as to address this issue 😢. Your reporting definitely sells me.
What failures with the Telluride's? I've had mine since launch in early 2019 (4 years now) and the only issue I had was that one of the mirrors wouldn't automatically fold everytime. Kia replaced the mirror and no more issues.
I'm curious of all the problems also since I bought my Telluride in 2020 and have 60k with no issues yet. I've been Ford mechanic for 10 years and Fleet for 5 additional. I no longer turn wrench's full time but manage 450 cars on our fleet and see a lot of repairs across all lines. Toyota and Honda hold up the best followed by Hyundai/Kia then all 5.7 L, 3.6 L powered FCA vehicles (all other are junk). Right now GM is slightly better than Ford. I'll keep my Telluride until 200k regardless of repairs since I can fix any of the fleet vehicles listed above. Let me know the problems. thanks
hahaha..... 'complaints from Kia Consumer blog are concerning'....... DUDE! Every auto forum is full of the people that have a complaint. Same for Toyota. I had a Highlander and all my power door lock actuators failed *just* after the warranty expired.... yes, that 3 year/36 mile SHORT warranty. In fact, I replaced them all myself and filmed a step by step and posted it to TH-cam. It has about 70 THOUSAND VIEWS now, which shows you how widespread the problem was and still is. Dealer wanted $2000 to fix them (more now - this was back in 2017/18)..... so I decided to do the step by step and screw Toyota and the Dealers out of repair revenue as revenge. 70k views later and dozens of 'thank you's' from owners who had the same problem that I saved hundreds and thousands of dollars for..... I feel vindicated. By the way.... called Toyota about assisting with these repairs just after the warranty expired and they told me to go pound sand. First and last Toyota I bought.
@@toddgill2338 Thanks for those videos because when my cars have become older, I use them to as a guide to repair my vehicles. Examples are timing belt on my Honda Pilot, blend door on my Ram 2500, restoring my 70 Challenger and Dart. All of those types of videos are great help for those that fix their own vehicles. I'm writing from my perspective on what's happening on our fleet when comes to the cost of repairs for each vehicle and it changes year to year. I guess from what you are saying is all cars have problems and including the perceived great ones. Job security lol
Im not sure where you are at but thats not the case anymore here in Florida. Dealers will try but shop around and you may get kne at MSRP or below. Lots are filling up with cars.
Shop around.... most are charging MSRP+.... but I found 2 ethical dealers nearby who refused to charge over MSRP. Bought mine 1 hour drive out of town for sticker.... I have never paid MSRP in my life, but thanks to China Joe Biden's economy and lack of attention fixing the supply chain issues.... that is where we are, unfortunately.
@@MattTheCarguy True. Every woman I know wants one, unless they can afford a Range Rover. These are great for the price though. Great way to reward a great mom. 👍
I disagree. In this category compare it to Mazda CX-90, Pilot, or Grand Highlander. All different styles and driving dynamics. What can you make out of an SUV thats unique? Unless you want to buy a Cyber Truck
Normally great vehicle, but if by chance, that vehicle has to go into the shop, Kia customer service is horrible and notorious for not paying rental car bills, so be careful.

Watched your LX base model video about 20 times. After 6 months of shopping this car bought this top trim. Thanks
Hahaha. Thank you!
Not the top trim.
We just got ours today !
Congratulations!
how is it?
Very thorough review Matt
Thank you!
Awesome video and a really good walk through of ALL the features. Do a follow up showing some of the safety features while moving. I'm a fan.
Thank you! 2025 are out so will be testing out one soon!
Amazing review Matt & I can't wait to buy this.

Thanks for the comment. I thought it had the feature when it would stop and open back up once it hits something?
Idk if you figured this out but it’s super easy to turn this off
Go into the settings and disable it. I'm not sure where it is, I think under convieince.
Hi could you tell me, what is this colour name? Is it the 'Moss Green' ? I think you didn't mention the body colour.
This was Jungle Green.
we just bought the same trim level with white exterior and terracotta interior and love it. Amazing vehicle
Congratulations!
Do you use wired carplay/android auto or kia's NAV? And how is it?
Pictures??
I just got one. same color. not the prestige however. love it!
Good choice! Best color imo.
I can say it's brother the KIA Carnival SX Prestige IS PERFECT.. Although the heated seats could heat up quicker..
