Lol yeah I usually use uv resin or a uv top coat to try to do the transfers! 😅 I would put the resin and then cure it for just a lil time so that it is still sticky but doesn't move around.. then press on the transfer an either peel it off then, or yep, cure some more then pull it, but it's definitely a finicky thing! 🥲💕 I actually got some kind of "glue" with a set of black and white lace looking transfers but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet!! 🙀 If it's any good (or even different at all fm what we would normally use) I'll let u know!! 🥰 Everything looks beautiful!! Grippies were a great project idea!! 🙌💕
Btw! Did u know that if ur trying to cure uv to *just* tacky stage but then it cures too much, u can use some alcohol or acetone on a wipe and do a quick run over the resin with that and it'll be sticky again? Just place ur transfer onto it right after u wipe with it and then ull have to cure again to finish it off! I hope that makes sense? 😅🤣 I have found it helpful when I want to add colored powders and things like that too!! I hope it's helpful for someone! 🥰
Hello Carol...I agree with you, nail foils are really tricky to use. Sometimes it's perfect, most times not lol Please let me know your outcome. Thank you 😊💝
Yes ma'am!! Be happy to share my findings on the experiment!! 🤣 I have seen back to work on a few lil resin projects now that my craft space has gotten back into.. *ahem* well at least to "useable" state 😅 If u have IG u can see what I have been up to under the name "Pennysaddy" 🥰 but once I try the glue I'll come back here to let u know just to be sure u get the info!! 😁💕 Happy crafting!!!
Well saved! It's odd that it failed that way I will be doing some tonight with jdiction uv resin and nail transfers I will let you know how it goes! I love watching your videos x
Yes of course happy to let you know either way lol had a nightmare epoxy resin night ended up not going to bed until way after 5am so did not have time last night but will try later. As you said 'the reality if working with resin' x
This may sound odd!!!! I would like to buy you a resin curing machine to help with your non resin days due to weather if it is something you may like? The only way I think it can be done is by you setting up an Amazon wish list and send me the link, I buy it without seeing your personal info and Amasin deliver it to you. I have the jdiction cream one it's really good especially now I know how to use it - cures resin in 2 hours! If this is not of any interest to you just let me know and no offence will be taken x
Try leaving the socket under the uv light longer, turn it over and in all directions. The light can not penetrate the dark color of the foil. Give it a chance to harden, leave it under longer
This is a great idea! I liked the molds too but this seems easier. Do you mind sharing where you found the all white pop sockets? I can only find black! Great video! 💜
Thank you 😊 yeah, it's easier than using mold but you can create different designs using the mold also. I got the white pop sockets from Shopee but I think it doesn't shop internationally...anyway, here's the link: shopee.ph/product/207966543/7283181391?smtt=0.117789536-1662160303.9
First pop is beautiful..! I think that's happening because base is plastic. Did you try curing a layer of resin completely and then transfer the foil sheet? Like creating a non plastic base first. I hope you get what I am trying to tell..! 😅 And I need some clarification. How does washi tape work for resin? Does it change colour? Did you try washi tapes??
Thank you Twinkle 😊 I think you're right. I'll try your suggestion next time. Thanks! I haven't tried washi tapes but I've seen many videos using it and outcomes are very beautiful. It doesn't change color.
@@EjoysArtSpace29 I sanded the grips used modge podge stuck down the washi tape everything perfect. Then tried other glues (Anita's tacky) spent hours and hours making it coated in uv and after it cured the tape lifted from the base around the edges - 😱 then it easily came off! So back to modge podge perfect results 😊

Bad news - I used epoxy and sadly the result was exactly the same 😔 I also tried a different glue result was worse!!!!

I have done some steampunk grips using washi tape - but only use modge podge under the tape otherwise it lifts off once you have cured the uv resin
@@dianeg63 ho.. thanks for the tip..!

I'll try soon. 😊
Where did you get the container of butterflies
Hi Sharon. It's from a local store here. But you can look from Ali Express or Amazon. Just search Mini Butterfly Sequins.
Happy crafting!
Ms Joy , how to order from Amazon ?
What is the brush kind of thing you used to spread the resin?
It's used for Nail Art. Rhinestones picker
Please tell me where do you get your pop sockets?
Is there a specific resin that uses the UV light for curing or is it for all resin ?
UV Resin needs UV light.
You cannot use UV light to cure Epoxy resin
Can I use sunlight for curing UV resin?
I didn't see a link for the pop socket bases. Where can I find these?

What is Name of the sheet that you transfer on ?
