In my Mother Tongue we say "No hay mal que por bien no venga" which means that a difficult time will bring something better in the end. This exactly has happened with the sad Coronavirus attack to humanity. We, music lovers and HR FRANKFURT Sinfonie orchestra fans, have had the fortune of meeting all, one by one, those wonderful musicians whom concert after concert we have been listening while playing altogether. We knew, for sure, they were all of them great soloists and this unexpected crisis took us to admire their professional profile. Thanks a million to all of them and to HR FRANKFURT Sinfonie.
I agree as well. This is written as the restrictions finally are beginning to lift, but this makes these remarkable programs from the time of the pandemic even more noteworthy.
This brings back memories. I played this, once, long ago. Thank you HR Sinfonie for posting these concerts. They are keeping me sane amidst all the chaos of 2020 and 2021...
Wonderful playing. It is, frankly, almost miraculous that you can keep the whole thing together whilst being so free. I guess it comes of long and careful rehearsal.
Wonderful! We dream about the day when our 148 year old community band will be able to gather safely and perform together once again. Thank you for showing it can be done.
Einfach wunderbar!
2 things: 1) what kind of horn is the first player using?!? looks like rotors half way doe the slides. 2) 8:40 the bassoon player looks right at the you tube viewer - he should have winked!
If an entire symphony orchestra socially-distances itself appropriately as these 13 players have (and bravo for such an excellent sound despite the distancing!) how big would the platform have to be?

Absolutely right! In English, we say "every cloud has a silver lining".
Well said.

Oh what wonderful memories of playing this in college!
It was heart-touching to watch this clip during the lockdown. Arts and culture can't be destroyed by the current pandemic. Thank you so much.

13 maestros! Qué bella actitud en cada nota!
Serenade (Op. 7) for wind instruments, composed when Richard Strauss was only 16 years of age. In the year 1880.
Thank you so much for these performances. They mean so very much in these days.

Bravo!

Hi, Oskar!
Thanks for the tip!
Ist es schwerer auf Abstand zu musizieren?
