Just under 30 seconds in and I had to pause for a laughter break....."Tom....What moon?....Grossi"....LOLOL!! This was fantastic! 🤣 On to the rest of the video... 🙂
The Jags' biggest issues last season were: 1. Oline, specifically the interior 2. Offensive play calling 3. Interior Dline 4. Deep Pass Catching threats (high amount of drops, PBUs and PIs against the Jags) 5. Defensive Play calling Of those issues, quite literally all 5 of them have improved. People seem to think that Calvin Ridley was some sort of Alpha receiver for them but that's far from the truth of it. O line was invested in, Offensive play calling was stated that Doug would start calling plays more if he felt the offense wasn't stable enough (paired with a much healthier team and better O line that should be more realistic), the Interior D Line saw massive additions including Armstead and rookie Mason Smith to pair with a highly productive edge duo who will all benefit from a laughably better defensive coordinator that will better utilize the linebacker room that's seen consistent investment into over the past several seasons. The combination of Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. (who even though is a rookie) will give Trevor, who has been an elite deep passer over his career and even last season despite the above mentioned issues, much more reliable vertical threats allowing ETN to more easily push the ball when teams can't simply stack the middle against them. I say all this to say that, while there are still question marks particularly on the coaching and even still on the D line and to some degree the secondary, this team that had much bigger issues last season were 8-3 at one point. Their division certainly got better, but they also have a much easier schedule than Houston has. I think they'll finish the season with 11-12 wins, and be fighting with the Colts for the 1st seed. The Texans are a solid team with a hell of a culture and promising QB but crowning them the kings of the division and labeling them as the dark horses to win the AFC seems a bit premature given how stacked the AFC is with talent.
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the Jags have lost 29 out of 44 games to the Houston Texans, fwiw. I know it's a new slate but dayum.
@@chucksheppard5927thank you for reminding us on the past, cause that obviously means something. After all, the lions have been consistently trash forever! So they can’t be good now right? Right?

Minshew wasn't good for us. Coaching made him look better then he was. He had happy feet in the pocket, would run into sacks, never looked past his first 2 reads. Regardless if it's AR or Flacco playing for us, we will get better QB play then what Minshew gave us
Flacco's your backup? For Colts fans sake, I hope AR stays healthy all season....but if you have to roll Flacco out there.....well just look at how his season ended last year.
I thought that was weird cuz as a Saints fan I knew we hadn't played them in the preseason this year and pretty sure we didn't have them this year's regular season schedule
Easily? Do you need to be reminded that the Jags were a missed field goal away from getting swept last year? Texans only got stronger and when it comes ro the secondary, a lot stronger.
@@jacksauce Texans have built a roster that can go toe to toe with anyone in the league.....and the OP said the Jags win the division EASILY. The Jags damn near got swept by the Texans last year.
Jags fans are always cocky and get put in their place every year. This team should have won last year and fell flat on their back. Not to mention their QB is the Daniel jones of the AFC
@@ericparker163 what I meant was easier than people expect, got a bit to exited. Also, yall got gifted an INT which was dpi, when we were up a touchdown and driving the field again. Thats a 14 score swing, which still wasnt enough.
Titans have an upgrade in almost ALL positions (off and def) Levis, Rudolph, Hopkins, Ridley, Boyd, Burks, NWI... Spears, Pollard, Jackson... Okonkwo, Whyle, Latham, Skoronski, Cush.,.. Folk, Stonehouse... Murray, Sneed, Awuzie, McCreary.... Simmons, Landry, Sweat, Adams, Diggs... and you put a floor 5-12?? Less than last year being the worst o-line and with no weapons (besides Henry and Hopkins) and with and majority of the defense with injuries trough the whole year?? c´mon!!!
This feels like a division where anyone could win, though Texans seem most positioned to do so. I actually expect Lawrence to have a really good year and finally quiet down the riffraff. But what most surprised me was that the Colts offense was almost top 10 last year. I feel the Raiders will actually do well with Minshew, who seems to somehow find ways (most of the time) to keep the offense running well.
Thanks for having an earnest unbiased take on the Titans potential this season. I think we will pleasantly surprise this year but won't be serious contenders for at least another season or two. At the very least, I'd expect Tennessee to have an entertaining brand of football (unlike Vrabel's signature run, run, pass, punt style) and a modern NFL passing offense for the first time ever. The AFC South will be a tough division this season, and realistically I'm not counting out any of the Texans, Jags, or Colts from winning the crown. Four young QBs just makes for great football and exciting narratives for the media and fans to discuss. I genuinely believe the years of the AFC "Shit Mountain" are over. Titan up!
I'm glad no one is jealous of the chiefs... 25+ years being a chiefs fan, wondering if we were ever going to get a turn... it's nice being the hunted for once.
Meh many fans of other franchises are both as envious and annoyed. It’s part and parcel to the Cheifs becoming the new evil empire like their Patriots predecessors before them. I have to admit I find Taylor Swift and the Swifties extremely annoying myself. The fact they are attached to the Cheifs and bringing all kinds of attention makes it even worse! 😂 ugh! Hopefully us non Cheif fans don’t have another 20 years of this. 🙄🤦🏻♀️🤬
As a die heart Titans fan, I have to agree with you Tom. Too many question marks with this new coaching staff and O line. Hopefully we prove the predictions wrong and Will is that guy.
...and for that reason I have their floor all the way down at 2-15 which may sound a little harsh, but their ceiling is at 14-3 if everything goes right this season.
Been a Titans fan all my life & Forever will be. The AFC South has always been the ass/ laughing stock of the NFL for the longest time, I'm not saying Superbowl bound for us but I want to thank you for the optimism for giving us a in depth but also good shot for at least being a contender unlike every other media outlet that just teabags us all the time or doesn't give Tennessee anything. Thanks Tom for all you do & weather it's two-tone or forest green & Gold, God bless
So because the Cowboys are no longer the power house we now have to say there's another Texas power house team? I'd rather watch my local team win the Super Bowl again than have to listen to another Texas team have a top performance.
I was kind of similar in my thought process about the AFC South. Texans: 10-7 Colts: 10-7 Jags: 8-9 Titans: 6-11 Texans and Colts will duke it out this year. I think the Texans have the edge on them. I don't really expect that Jags to do anything different from last year, so the record will be the same. The Titans didn't really improve in key areas, but they didn't lose talent either, so they will have the same record from last year.
When you were talking about the Texans, why did you have LAST year's schedule on the screen? I couldn't figure out how my Browns play the AFC West, yet the Texans play the AFC North. I had to google the schedules. LOL
Hey Tom, huge Titans fan here I'd like to thank you for at least doing research on Tennessee. I feel like that's where a lot of titans fans are frustrated. This team is such an afterthought that people always will just assume they're going to be terrible. So when you get someone that actually does their homework, They see what you see. That there actually is a lot of potential with this team, and they COULD turn heads. If Will Levis, turns out to be a top 16 QB, Tennessee wins 8-9 games. I agree in that they probably shouldn't make the playoffs this year I do hold out hope for this team to pull off some kind of Joe Burrow-like season. In Joe's rookie year, he showed some promise on a bad Bengals team. Then when he was finally healthy and had a team around him, they had a miracle run to the Superbowl. Maybe Levis makes lightning strike twice. Doubtful, but hopeful in the sense that we've seen a similar storyline recently
Knowing the Texans as well as I do, every day since the end of last season, the collapse has been getting closer and closer. I'm trained to expect a rubber banding performance this season.

Just under 30 seconds in and I had to pause for a laughter break....."Tom....What moon?....Grossi"....LOLOL!! This was fantastic! 🤣 On to the rest of the video... 🙂
The Jags' biggest issues last season were:
1. Oline, specifically the interior
2. Offensive play calling
3. Interior Dline
4. Deep Pass Catching threats (high amount of drops, PBUs and PIs against the Jags)
5. Defensive Play calling
Of those issues, quite literally all 5 of them have improved.
"I was born in 1990"
The moment i realized Tom is the same age as my BABY sister. Im not sure i like this new world i find myself in.
Haven't even watched this but I already know it's gonna be a lot of Texan glazing and jaguar doubting.
Fr
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the Jags have lost 29 out of 44 games to the Houston Texans, fwiw. I know it's a new slate but dayum.
@@chucksheppard5927thank you for reminding us on the past, cause that obviously means something. After all, the lions have been consistently trash forever! So they can’t be good now right? Right?
@@GotBoredish No, the Lions aren't trash, neither are the Jags. But the history can't be ignored. At some point it becomes a factor, even if it's just mental.
@@chucksheppard5927 I don’t know, ppl always say players should have a short term memory, besides, they didn’t play for the jags the last 30 years or were even watching them like that history will not make a team play better or worse, it just affects how many ppl talk about you
This is the most competitive diffision
Minshew wasn't good for us. Coaching made him look better then he was. He had happy feet in the pocket, would run into sacks, never looked past his first 2 reads. Regardless if it's AR or Flacco playing for us, we will get better QB play then what Minshew gave us
Flacco's your backup? For Colts fans sake, I hope AR stays healthy all season....but if you have to roll Flacco out there.....well just look at how his season ended last year.
Love the inclusion of last years schedule at 3:52 as an homage to simpler times because this years brings nothing but pain
I thought that was weird cuz as a Saints fan I knew we hadn't played them in the preseason this year and pretty sure we didn't have them this year's regular season schedule
From a Titans fan Thank you Tom for taking an honest look at the team
Loved the Texans getting Danielle hunter
Don't sleep on Autry either. The suspension sucks but he's going to have a real impact when he comes back.
Love the Spaceballs reference!
Hey Tommy, I’m also a die hard packers fan; just wanted to say you’re the best TH-camr in the world.
Haven't even watched the video yet but this is my division so automatically gets a like. Tom you are great 👍.
not likely but the ceiling of this colts team is right on par with houston maybe higher. we will see what happens with AR
The Titans are going to prove a lot of people wrong this season
... by playing even worse.
Yeah I agree, they'll definitely prove a lot of people wrong.
“THIS IS OUR COLTS, THIS IS OUR TEAM. WE BLEED BLUE”
I’m a packers fan btw
colts ceiling only 1 win higher than their actual record last year with a backup QB and JT only half the season?
5:34 Spaceballs is such a classic.
What are the Titans?
PART OF IT.
Didn't expect the DBZ reference lmao
I see the Texans going 14-3 this season they will shock everyone
If the Strouds dont make the AFCCG this year the scriptwriter will have to flee the country.
Did watch it. Jags will win this much more easier than people expect.
Easily? Do you need to be reminded that the Jags were a missed field goal away from getting swept last year? Texans only got stronger and when it comes ro the secondary, a lot stronger.
@@ericparker163But that was with one of the easiest schedules in the league. Now they’re playing all of the division winners from last year.
1:57 😂 Well played!
Titans have an upgrade in almost ALL positions (off and def) Levis, Rudolph, Hopkins, Ridley, Boyd, Burks, NWI... Spears, Pollard, Jackson... Okonkwo, Whyle, Latham, Skoronski, Cush.,.. Folk, Stonehouse... Murray, Sneed, Awuzie, McCreary.... Simmons, Landry, Sweat, Adams, Diggs... and you put a floor 5-12?? Less than last year being the worst o-line and with no weapons (besides Henry and Hopkins) and with and majority of the defense with injuries trough the whole year?? c´mon!!!
Now they may be average instead of terrible
Still mediocre. I guess they slightly improved.
If CJ Stroud has 1000's of fans im one of them. If CJ stroud only has one fan its thats me. If CJ Stroud has no fans, im dead.
“The Titans are there” 😂😂
The Strouds lore continues
This feels like a division where anyone could win, though Texans seem most positioned to do so. I actually expect Lawrence to have a really good year and finally quiet down the riffraff. But what most surprised me was that the Colts offense was almost top 10 last year. I feel the Raiders will actually do well with Minshew, who seems to somehow find ways (most of the time) to keep the offense running well.
good one tommy
3:58 the strouds are so powerful that they changed their schedule to an easier one truly amazing
1:58 the dragon ball add in was good🤣
As a die heart Titans fan, I have to agree with you Tom. Too many question marks with this new coaching staff and O line. Hopefully we prove the predictions wrong and Will is that guy.
...and for that reason I have their floor all the way down at 2-15 which may sound a little harsh, but their ceiling is at 14-3 if everything goes right this season.
Statistically, Trevor Lawrence is like a daneil jones that can throw
Heyyyy does that mean we can expect him to also keep throwing the ball to the WR Stingley is covering? As a Texans fan, I'm here for it.
Statistically, this comment makes no fuckin sense
@@somedumbcat_he watched a TH-cam video where an analyst made some stupid comparison and thinks he’s a genius
@@shivnerine1 it true tho
The Strouds are back and this time we're going for the sun
Been a Titans fan all my life & Forever will be. The AFC South has always been the ass/ laughing stock of the NFL for the longest time, I'm not saying Superbowl bound for us but I want to thank you for the optimism for giving us a in depth but also good shot for at least being a contender unlike every other media outlet that just teabags us all the time or doesn't give Tennessee anything. Thanks Tom for all you do & weather it's two-tone or forest green & Gold, God bless
NFC south is laughing stock as well
Tom "What moon?" Grossi 💀
So because the Cowboys are no longer the power house we now have to say there's another Texas power house team? I'd rather watch my local team win the Super Bowl again than have to listen to another Texas team have a top performance.
“what moon”
oh the references
I was kind of similar in my thought process about the AFC South.
Texans: 10-7
Colts: 10-7
Jags: 8-9
Titans: 6-11
Texans and Colts will duke it out this year. I think the Texans have the edge on them. I don't really expect that Jags to do anything different from last year, so the record will be the same. The Titans didn't really improve in key areas, but they didn't lose talent either, so they will have the same record from last year.
Houston has Stroud, but Tennessee has the Mayo Man!
When you were talking about the Texans, why did you have LAST year's schedule on the screen? I couldn't figure out how my Browns play the AFC West, yet the Texans play the AFC North. I had to google the schedules. LOL
Holy moly, all these vids and I just realized I wasn't subbed, my bad!
Tom must have a lot of energy today. Got this vid out 2 hours earlier than usual 😏
3:58 the moment you realize that grossi put last years texans schedule
Jags also signed Darnell Savage and hired Ryan Nielsen as DC
Texans vs Packers Superbowl would be amazing 👍
Hey Tom, huge Titans fan here
I'd like to thank you for at least doing research on Tennessee.
I agree in that they probably shouldn't make the playoffs this year
I do hold out hope for this team to pull off some kind of Joe Burrow-like season. In Joe's rookie year, he showed some promise on a bad Bengals team. Then
when he was finally healthy and had a team around him, they had a miracle run to the Superbowl.
How are the titans worse than the colts? Division is going through Houston for sure but We are definitely going to be better than the colts this year
HAHAHA. Omg, that's hilarious. How are the Titans worse than the Colts you say? Where do I even begin!
Love love the DBZ reference. 😂 should do one from the Abridged version
Great video tom.i happy my eagles got jahan dotson from the commanders
so many new additions for the Titans that you forgot Tyler Boyd
Tom, Tom, Tom. I’m a Nashvillian, a true Titan’s fan for 20+ years. You can be honest. It’s going to be a season of chilling out in the screaming street:) You’ll know where to find me
Honestly, about as fair a prediction of the AFC South as I could have given. Jags and Colts, like you essentially said, could flip/flop. Barring any craziness or major injuries, etc, this is about how I'd expect things to shake out.
It's gotta be the Strouds.
