Love it when Jim shows his humor and sarcasm. He's a lot like me in that respect. "skip that amazing part, probably just a typo". 😅 I have loved these videos.
My husband and I were married 47 years. In our distant past we raised a couple of bull calf's, chickens, rabbits, and English Springer spaniels. Back then we had raspberry pies and strawberries in our freezer along with chickens, rabbits, and beef. Our children were young then now they are in their forties and fifties. I guess because my dad was a logger that's why I enjoy your guys channel so much. Gave my heart to Jesus when I was fifteen now I'm sixty nine have four beautiful grandchildren.
Now that's a load of blocks! 1980...I was 6 years old, I feel about 100 tonight after bouncing on a forecart over 17 acres of plowed ground behind 4 horses. Wonderful to see a family invested in each other and supporting one another.
The question about if you compost, reminded me about when growing up. My parents had a restaurant and also had a farm. They would bring home all the leftovers and feed to the hogs. I remember the hogs having some real discussions about which one was going to get the coffee grounds. They really liked the coffee grounds. Great videos, I really enjoy them, keep up the good work.
Fantastic vid! So nice to see you all relating together, talking about ‘work’ but actually relaxing and reflecting. I like how supportive and involved you are in each others lives
Hello Brenda ,and Abby and Jim, Fist up your daughter is so pretty. I love the videos we everyday. I do realize it's a lot over whelming Thank for them. Love your videos.. God bless 🙏🌹❤️
Supper great video. The question and answer segment was great. Abby has such a great channel. Watched her from the very beginning. You have to be one of the greatest families on you tub. In my opinion . Thanks for sharing
Love de history whit the foto s good koffie break i wonder wy you never do 2 by 2 as in the picture of you ploughing it done a lot in Holland 🇳🇱 a brenda if you have a bit of time the appel pie 🥧 top so now im interested in this one. thank you jim brenda abby and the animals for the time you spend for making films for us ❤
Jim and Brenda and Abby Thank you for showing your videos everyday Brings back great memories for me when my Dad was at PSC as a college teacher Doing my great same things in anything to do with draft horses for many years at 8 years old with my Dad
Thank you Jim, Brenda, and Abby for the Q&A ...thank you for the few extra videos as I know it's alot of extra time to get them out. Pie and coffee nice 😋... Love Baron's mane as it took time to grow out so beautifully, but jim you know what's best for your horse. Bree is growing so beautiful and almost a year old. Have a great blessed day..
Jim, Brenda and Abby, The question and Answer session was fun and interesting. The banter between the 3 of you over on long you've been marriage and Abby , Trudy and Levi's ages was very amusing. I agree with Jim that a well trained and fit horse is just as good as a mule and a heck of a lot better looking.. Again it's what you've brought up around for sure . Also mules would have their uses as well. Brenda the Strawberry /Apple Pie looks delicious.
Great video! I can smell the coffee and almost taste the pie. Great to see you all and I'm sure "Skippy" has more miles on his legs than I do at 60 yrs of age. Take care and God bless!
Look forward to each of your videos about your mixed farm lifestyle! Those well trained heavy horses rock! There is something very comforting and down-to-earth and educational in each video that is important for city people, like myself, to ponder and learn from. Love your old-fashioned farm kitchen …. a lot of visiting happens around the country kitchen table… the heart of the home. My dear aunt had a plaque in her kitchen which stated: “ No matter where I serve my guests, it seems they like my kitchen best!” Greetings and blessings from one of your fans from Canada🇨🇦👋🏻
Yeayy!! A cozy coffee break--with pie even!!! Mmm....!!! Haha!! You have to check your calendar!! 😂 39 years! Congrats!! I know what year my 5 kids were born, but I'd need a calculator to get their exact age!! 😮😂 The picture of the horse pull--those were beautiful horses!! Wow! Awe! Love the pic of Mac with all the kids!!! And it's fun to see Abby asking all the questions! I love her channel, too! ❤ Thanks for this chat!! 💕
In my opinion Zach Oldan with his mules does an excellent job , Zach explains things very well . Jim also does an excellent job , so enjoyable to watch & work his horses , his talent is outstanding !
Since I’ve only been watching your channel for 3 years, I always enjoy your question and answer sessions in order to learn more about your family, horses and projects! You guys are great!
Really liked the question and answer video. Appreciate your willingness to do a video in the future showing and explaining how you get horses to start and pull evenly. I won’t miss it as I’ve watched every single video you’ve made. Enjoyed the past week with a video every day. What a treat. Two or three or week is just fine. I’ll just watch some of the old ones again. I bet I have watched the video of you pulling that huge rock out of your cornfield with all four horses at least 10 times.😊
Awesome🙌🏼 My entertainment while having my lunch🥪You folks made me laugh when you laugh. A suggestion for your anniversary and birthdays and the animal special days on your calendar that you sell📅. Is there a chance you can do a comparison of Duke and Earl coloring, size, characters in a video? Enjoyed the video🤠🇨🇦
Howdy from mid Michigan! Love watching you guys. I always learn something and enjoy watching the activities and adventures at your place . Have a wonderful spring. 🌞🌻
Thank you so much Jim and Brenda and Abby❤ love these coffee breaks ……omg I want that pie looks so good yummmy….Everyone give this video a big thumbs up❤❤❤❤❤
I so enjoyed this video,l truly did.Nice and relaxing and that pie 🧐 oh Brenda how l would have loved a portion it looked delicious ❤ love the colour of the kitchen chairs one of my favourite colours.I think Barron has bulked up a lot he looks so well and would look so hansom if his mane was Hogged.
I had to laugh about kids' ages and how many years you've been married. 😅 We have the same difficulties! I would really love to see videos from start to finish on preparing Abby's flooring and window trim. We have 120 acres and about 90 are wooded. Also, I would've had some ice cream with that pie! 😊 Thanks again for sharing! 💯 I also enjoy watching A Drill and a Dream. We remodeled a similar old Farmhouse, and it brings back a lot of memories! ❣️
Great to share your coffee break Q&A video. as far as cutting back on video's I don't blame you its a lot of time consuming to put them out. but hopefully they are rewarding to you in the ways that you seek. I for one enjoy them. God speed. ECF
I JUST LOVE THIS EPISODE I LOVE TO SEE YOUR FAMILY WORKING AND PLAYING TOGETHER the giggly girls remind me of my own family I have a Neice that looks so much like Abby I grew up with 3 sisters and I have a dozen nieces so I just love giggly girls and I love to hear your girls sing they are great a capella harmonizes we have always sung together as a family and an extended family and we sing that way as Primitive Baptists I love Brenda’s natural hair and physical strength as a disabled person I’m jealous and Jim is so much like his horses sweet kind patient and funny and I really want to hear his deep bass voice singing with his wife and daughters your videos brighten my days thank you so much for sharing your life with us GOD BLESS
No knowing how old your kids are, or how long you have been married means you are staying young and not counting the days! Celebrate 40 though, that's worth a party! :)
Thanks for this interesting video. The strawberry-apple pie in that big deep pie plate looks so good. Pie is my favorite desert. Funny, but I was never able to make a decent pie crust evenn with my mom's never fail recipe.. Mom made the best pies. I can eat pie for every meal. 😅 I love your and Abby's channels. I miss seeing Trudy from time-to-time.. 😊😊😊
Great video. Been enjoying the daily ones but they must keep Brenda busy editing, not to mention all the filming. Regarding Baron's mane, you could clip a bridle pathway behind his ears, about 3 inches. and another from his withers to just in front of where the collar sits. With all that magnificent hair you'd never notice the clipped bits. Yes, they get hot under the mane, but also warm in winter. Love the old taffy stallion, you hadn't clipped his mane off. Was his partner the same colour? What breed were they? Stunning horse. Please tell us more about them and maybe more pictures. Greetings from Australia.
I love your kitchen. Just saying. I am loving your videos. I have spent the day bingeing on them. I lived on a farm in my early childhood, in New Zealand, a 1000 acre sheep and black angus cattle farm. (I live in Ontario, Canada now). I remember my dad took his 17 hand beautiful chestnut stallion on long jaunts to check fences, cattle, sheep, etc, etc. In those days (mid 1950s to 1960) stock horses were what they used. And, of course, working dogs. Clarence (the horse) was very gentle with me. I have always loved horses but never got the chance to actually have my own. Now my son and family have four horses on their farm here in Ontario. Thank you for sharing so much of your life and skills here. Many blessings to you and your family, and horses.
excellent visit with you. pie looked great,we'd sure like to know if you used white or brown sugar mixed with strawberry/ apple ? sounded good. the best to you all..xx c/ s
Check out my daughter Abby's channel (A Drill & A Dream) ► th-cam.com/users/ADrillADream
30,000 people want a piece of that pie.
Hahaha!!! You're right!! 🤣🤣🤣
Love it when Jim shows his humor and sarcasm. He's a lot like me in that respect. "skip that amazing part, probably just a typo". 😅 I have loved these videos.
A life at peace, calm, hard work albeit, but straight ahead work. You are truly blessed. You have made a wonderful life.
Have you ever had problems with animal rights activist about working your horses in some parts of the country they are a real pain
What would the world be like if everyone had a family like this?
It would be heaven.
My husband and I were married 47 years. In our distant past we raised a couple of bull calf's, chickens, rabbits, and English Springer spaniels. Hey Mary 🌹❤❤
Thank you Jim Brenda and Abby. Your videos lift the spirits of this lonely man who used to have a big family ❤❤❤.
Thank you for including us into your family and home. It's a delight and privilege to get to know your family better.
Lovely family! Thanks for allowing us in to your coffee break guys!
My sister remembers being at the Springfield fair and seeing those magnificent stallions with beautifully groomed mane and tails.
I love how Abby lights up whenever she talks about her house!!
Now that's a load of blocks! 1980...I was 6 years old, I feel about 100 tonight after bouncing on a forecart over 17 acres of plowed ground behind 4 horses. Wonderful to see a family invested in each other and supporting one another.
Dang, now I want pie!!!

Hi Folks.

Great Q & A . Brenda your country kitchen , I love it. Thank you for sharing. 👍😊
I do love Baron’s mane and tail longer, but I totally understand the reasoning for roaching working horses manes.
I think you had your medal, Jim. It was round, golden, and delicious! 😀 Where was William's slice?
