Hi ive also seen the same wheels installed opposite to the way you have done it so the wheels sit under the boat is there any advantages of fitting them either way or is just personal preference. Thanks.
If you don't want to drill holes, I would use a strong flexible sealant like Sikaflex Marine 291 which has great strength but also can flex as you wheel the boat over bumpy ground
This video is totally wrong. The wheels should go under the transom and not behind it. Also never use sikaflex because it makes a structural bond which will rip the plastic off when you try and remove them.
You are wrong, it is best to use Sika to help support the brackets with the bolts and provides a much more stable platform. Don't plan on removing them, do it once properly. The wheels can be clipped on either forward or backwards so you are correct there
@@TRUEKITINFLATABLES sorry but the manufacturer will tell you never to use sikaflex. Why would you need adhesive with two great big 10mm bolts holding it on? Mine have been on solid for 5 years. Which year do you expect them to drop off? So if anyone wants to put some new ones on , it's OK to wreck the transom because you don't need to change them? Plus if you do it your way , you can't turn them around if you've fitted the brackets too high .
At 1:23, wheels outside of the boat in up position, at 1:35 they are also outside the boat in down position. Technically impossible, the wheels should be beneath the boat in down position .
Very helpful, great advice, thank you.
Hi!

@@Smokey00 wrong way round
Which boat is that? Do you sell the wheels?
how come nobody has a video of themselves folding the dinghy up with these brackets ? wouldn't they RIP a hole in the pvc?
instablaster
Do you ship to USA?
Yes daily
So, when you fold them up, they look like they hit the tube....Are they too far outboard?
These wheels are unclipped to move from the down position to the up position. They don't hinge up so don't hit the tube
hi i dont want to drill holes. is it possible to glue the brackets onto transom? i have a very strong waterproof epoxy adhesive.

thanks rod, i can't find that locally. how about this; 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200, White, 3-oz
Yes, that's the 3M equivalent and should do the job. You will be relying on the strength of whatever is on the transom surface also.
@@roddawson3855 cheers!
Do you remove the masking tape when it's still kind of wet?
Yes, it is best when it has formed a skin but not fully cured
Hi guys is it necessary to seal?
Yes, definitely
@@TRUEKITINFLATABLES thanks for the reply! But why?
@@ianz9615 To seal up plywood transoms so there can be no water damage in the future.
How do you remove the excess sealant ?
A plastic scraper works well and then smooth with meths
Or cover each bracket with a piece of cloth when folding the boat
