What beyblades did yall have coming up? I had storm pegasus, cyber pegasus, and meteo l drago :P
meteo L- drago went undefeated only loosing to a rooftop
Ray Striker, Earth Eagle, Galaxy Pegasus, Big Bang Pegasus, Death Quetzalcoatl, and Diablo Nemesis.
I had more but those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head.
I had a mad collection growing up, but my favorites were always the L-Drago family of blades. I should buy a Meteo just to complete the set because I only have Lighting and Destructor.
@Corgi99sama ooooo yeah i mightve had big bang too at some point that one looked sick asl, always wanted hades cervix/diablo nemesis but never got them
Meteo l Drago, Storm Pegasus, Tornado Battler l Drago, Twisted Tempo, and many more I can't remember.
Good times
What you don't realize is that most of the protagonists don't purchase their beys. They are born with them, inherit them, or earn them.

@@VirtueTH-cam yeah it would destroy the bottoms of the beys. No one had a stadium
Now to be fair the Hikaru (the blue haired girl) wasn't killed by Ryuga (somehow).
She does however end up with PTSD so bad she straight up retires from Beyblading and becomes the assistant to Ginga's dad when he becomes the head of the company that organizes Beyblade tournaments.
I think Hikaru brought out her beyblade one time after that, and it was a do or die situation. Even seeing Tsubasa (the other kid that got PTSD) give in and use the power that Ryuga infected him with sent her into a mini panic attack.
Yeah this show was nuts.

This vid just gave me Vietnam flashbacks. It's really crazy though I must've forgotten that they had literal superpowers in the show, like not just the beybades but actual humans using ki blasts and shit. I grew up in the burst era. When we didn’t have a stadium, we used the freaking SLIDES! Beyblade is real!
We used slides and water fountains
As another burst era person, I remember my primary school had an active ring among the younger kids. I was in the pokemon tcg scene at the school (We somehow had PTCG, Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade all running scenes at the same time) although did participate in the Beyblade scene for a bit, it was certainly... @@kirbstagoontheaxolotl I never was a fan of Pokemon but I wonder how many those with a enormous Pokemon collection made a profit later in life. Some kids had a whole collection books filled with actually rare-ish cards. Each pack was like 5 bucks too which was too ridiculous for me.

Sad thing is, instead of kids being glued to the beyblade arena on the playground, they are glued to their phones even if they are aside each other. We lost a lot as a society ngl, happy that this video came up in my feed, takes me back.
i try to remember that, the anxiety is normal yk. It hurt even more when Ryuga actially ended up respecting Kenta, that he kept his word on helping him and Gingka.

I was really obsessed sith beyblades as a kid, and collected almost all from metal masters and metal fury.
I was also uploading some of those beyblade battle videos made in windows movie maker, with thkse stupid standard blends together with a friend, who sadly passed away a vouple of years ago. Mf wasnt even 20.
Im school we had a giant tramp... No idea what it was, but it was like a small leather trampolin with a hole in the middle, which we used like a beyblade arena. Usually 20 kids standing around this playing simultaneously.
Might be time for a rewatch
Sukuna theme while talking about ryuga?
Thats a masterpiece
Bros, respect your elders. Don't forget about the OG beyblade 2001 era.
Ah my childhood. Beyblade was the first show that was actually worth giving my toddler level attention to. I could not watch it on the net since I could not speak english and I also could not understand the lore because TV inconsistencies and me generally lacking mentally. I begged my mom to buy me the cheapest replica of it that contained 1 fake pegasus, 2 fake lion things and my precious Libra(I think it is called that?). When I grew older (still toddler just more functional) I started searching youtube to try and find low quality crappy videos of the show. That is how I came to learn english. Twisted tempo, Cerberus and Orion were the first english words I have learned and it is surprising how vividly I remember them sp tt. Years later I got my own arena and actual, real beyblades. All the above plus cooler Cerberus with red, Diablo?, the yellow horse, eagle… They always got broken after the first 20 matches but honestly none of us can care less. And I remember taking them to school until our stupid teacher banned them. The joy of 4 discs crushing each other violently. Haha I remember that one of my best friends had a stupidly overpowered “wide body” orion (ehich if I remember correctly is the most broken one). I threw my walmart Libra thinking it would finally do what other blades could not. But, as if it was a scene from the anime, they grinded for 2 seconds in beyblade angle style then mine got launched into the ceiling in slow mo. It was the best defeat ever and I swear I did not forget it for at least a year. Now, the beyblades are god knows where, probably getting rusty in some old box with broken scraped and missing parts, the arena is still with me, full of little holes created by hopes and friendship grinding it but is nothing more than a nuisance when I try to get the luggage out of there. I wont even mention the throwers, you know that they were really prone to get lost or have their teeth off. However, whether The show was great, it still was only 2 +3 teens shouting and channeling fantasy and nerdness. Perhaps what was so charming about it was that it showed you can make your dreams come true with friends simply by believing in it even though you knew it actually did nothing. Beyblades dont have personas, they are not conscious and commanding them to victory by giving your willpower does absolutely nothing. It was also perhaps that the true joy we had was not the object itself, but seeing that it is possible for a uniformed dream to come true through imagination and the power of friendship. You just got a new sub, hope it will make your day better as you did mine.
As a kid that yells btw I mean YELLS GO PEGASUS I relate
Thumbnail goes crazy
I didn't personally grow up with bayblade because I would have been in the middle of high school by then. At the time, I just saw them as silly toys and thought I was too old for them (I was a dumb teen). I was into trading card games, mostly Yu-Gi-Oh and magic at that time. I just recently bought my first bayblade. I collect toys, and bayblade is a toy, but nowadays, I'm not that dumb teen anymore, and I believe that toys can be collected and played with by anyone, not just kids. I have also started watching the Japanese metal master anime subbed.
Sorry, I know that this sounds like some speech from an anime, and that's not intentional on my part just the way it rurn out.
I love the fact that it's the kids who are the calamities. where tf the adults at?!
You really are goated keep it up
This really gave me some nostalgia. I don't recall the majority of the series but I still vaguely remember the fight between Ryuga and Gingka having a final battle atop a tower while it was storming. Not many things from childhood shows stay with me but that scene did.
oof, i feel old, i screamed dragoon instead of pegasus
Great Video! Can you do like a summary of the whole metal saga? I think you'd be the only one. I haven't seen anyone do a summary.
bro this brings back my childhood. i missed these moments.
Bro min 1:53 first time someone actually knows OG beyblade and brings Tyson up the table just because of that you got my like. Thanks man that really made my day
Thanks for making me feel old immediately 😅
Beyblades were mostly plastic with some metal at the begingging, now they're mostly metal with a bit of plastic.
I tried to battle my nephews with my old beyblades against their new ones, my beyblade exploded
I only had meteo l drago, alongside the fact nobody had the money for an actual arena, we used the hinged lid of a bin for our arena, and the teachers HATED it.
I also fondly remember the fact that the beys had some sort of soul in them - at least the more powerful ones - like pegasus, so it'd explain why they'd have actual power - and why those beys actually could listen to commands.
ngl I personally loved Ryuga's journey from metal masters to metal fury because it showed he did care for others at times, in his own way and it was wholesome when one time Ryuga gave kenta a fish he caught since kenta couldn't catch anything, if you know Ryuga that's basically his way of saying he has respect for you since kenta followed him everywhere no matter where Ryuga went, Kenta was close behind
"Mr. President, a Beyblade struck the second tower" is one of the funniest lines I've ever heard
I’m currently rewatching this and multiple times I ask, “why are we giving these things to kids?”

One of my most vivid memories from second grade was this one day in winter when me and a bunch of other kids brought our beyblades to school to play during recess. It was such a great day UNTIL I got home and could not find my Meteo L Drago in my jacket pocket. The next day I asked around if anybody had seen it, and some kid tells me “that was my Meteo L Drago that I let you use. I don’t have it because I already gave it to my cousin.” Well guess what Alex! I still have the launcher for it so I know it was mine! This incident has been a consistent memory that has popped up at least once every year for the past 12 years and has without fail caused me to feel the urge to dropkick a child. I probably never will because neither of us are kids anymore and I’ll likely never see him again, but I want my bey back!
that ending speech had me crying dawg
0:17 Fuuuck, i did that too!!!! We had improvised bayblades with a detergent and bike pieces, some painted theirs and people would steal yours if you werent careful (one guy painted mine after he stole), i remember minor sparks coming from them occasionally but i might be wrong. It was a blast.

I remember, that the Tip of the eagle bayblade was op. Like you could slap that thing on any other bayblade and that thing would crush in the arena. Then add the the middle part of the lion bayblade and you got a powerhouse. I also remember people bringing in fake bayblades that looked cool af but would brake instantly after a knockout. You know, what's fair is fair, I'm OG by age but still like your gen's series more (due to Ryuga for the most part), even the games made for it are better than OG ones (I still have to beat the OG PSX ver. I'll be damned if i understand how that game works), it's rare that a sequel-ish series is better, but this is one of those rare cases, and yes they are fu*kin terrorists i agree XD

Every time he says beyblade you can replace it with weapon and he would talk about America 😂
I remember being like 6 7 years old playing with my brother and friends. But the most onoy8ng thing was those plastic strings you used to pull the bayblade to spin. It always broke and had to get a new one. I still have a bayblade at home 20 yrs later
Oh buddy I never forgot how crazy beyblade is. I rewatch it once a year
Looking back on it, Ryuga was sick af. He's a powerful character done right, he's not like a main villain who appears and everyone is like "OOOOOhhhhh he's so strong" then loses after 2 rounds, he would just appear, obliterate whoever stood in his way without hesitation and leave. And it's not like, he was blessed by a god or fated in the stars. He just practiced and trained, it's pretty much explicitly stated in the show, he's powerful because he dedicates his life to his craft. He has power and flaunts it because he's earned it. Unless I'm remembering wrong, didn't he dip on the main villain of the first season cause he was too weak and only holding Ryuga back?
This vid is hilarious bro 😂

This video is a TRUE MASTERPIECE! EXACTLY! When I had to compete (by doing state-organized tests) for a place at one of the most prestigeous high schools at our country, I was stressed, I was scared, yet I did not surrender, I try hard, and when it was about to come, I fking watched the Metal Fusion. Bro, that thing, that series kicked me SO MUCH, that when I was literally running out of time during the math test, my inner self just went god mode from the feelings beyblade left in me, and in the end, It worked. There was only 1 study programme I did not get to int the ENTIRE COUNTRY (ofcourse, it was one of those 2 I was appliying for..), but damn, my mental strenghth and confidence was literally work of watching this hyped anime :D. And ofcourse, we played with them too. I even remember when my bestie from primary gave me to my birthday a TRUE beyblade. Sure, It was mostly because of he was tired of always lending me his beys, and yeah, It was the Duo Ice Titan, which was pretty beautiful for sure, but it was the worse type of the Duo Uranus, but still! SO good memories with beyblades, exactly as youve told here... ;)
Commenting before watching the vid here but craziest thing i remember was the main antagonist just throwing his bey into an arena and everytime it got hit it sped up because "it spins backwards" also irl the metal defence tip the absolut best
I remember this show, I never thought about how destructive this show was. Like how did this universe even exist lol.
I also liked the social credits system based on how good you were at bayblades
God, i remember playing with my Burn Phoenix, that thing was solid. The metal tip could do some actual damage to the arenas too.
Don't know where that is anymore, but I've got a Capricorn lying around my place somewhere
