@@grassytiger maybe not because they keep the risk on the fighters. A tourney largely benefits one guy, but they all have requested opportunity. They probably run the numbers and try to attract a large amount of fans quickly through more interesting competitions and higher stakes. But maybe they're risking a lot to try and grow and it's either make or break???

Steven Siler nearly won $1 million dollars fighting MMA? Jesus! Top 15 guys in the UFC still fighting for $20k/$20k.
This was for a belt too so its not like he was not even close. If you are going to compare the champions, the UFC champs average like $300k-$500k purse plus PPV, fighters in the UFC fighters can easily surpass $1mill. With PPV money so there fight purse doesn't matter as much, only a select few none champions get PPV no matter what like Jones, Conor and Nate. But if you are a champ in the UFC and stay a champ, your purse will just keep going up every fight. Khabib got a $6million purse who knows why it was so high probably because the event wasnt going to sell here in the states and PPV's were going to be low. PFL doesn't do the PPV model so they have to pay more on the purse.
PFL is a good platform for guys who just want to make quick money and get out quick. The UFC is for legacy and achieving GOAT status. Might not seem like it sometimes but the competition in the UFC is pretty steep.

I can attest to this mans great character and very humble attitude in general. That said hearing the vehicles he owns and mentioned in this clip is a different story when he pulls out of his garage next door. Routing for him tomorrow night @MSG in NYC for sure. Guys like him are the ones that deserve to get paid this kind of money in my opinion. Wouldnt know the guy was a fighter as you can certainly pick up on with alot of the FIGHTERS I've met over the years just off first impression but a round in the octagon with him...no thanks.

Ehhhh. PFL is boring and seems rigged. I was watching his fight like 3 weeks ago and they would constantly pan out to either his dad, his wife, his corner, or his fans. Not once did they pan to the other guys corner or family or any of that stuff. An unranked UFC fighter in the featherweight division could take him out. Easily.. and I want to see it, but he doesn’t want to look like Ben Askren so he’ll stay in his lane most likely.
