At 1:36 you can see a Datsun 720 pickup that wasn't imported to USA until 1980, at 0:54 that's a Datsun 280ZX manufactured between 1978 and 1983, and somewhere in the video you can see a 1979 or 1980 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am, so I'm pretty sure this footage is more likely from the early '80s, not the '70s.
Those white ford fairmonts you see driving through the gate are all 81 and later because they have dual instead of single headlights. I owned 3 of them.
@@creepingjesus5106 As soon as I read the name they came to mind. They were a piece of work, I think every town had a group like that no matter the time period.
Wow the Vietnam campaign took many of our talented men and women. Not a bad film, to bad the East Los Angeles community didntthink the Sheriffs would harass and finally bully the community to the point of shooting an explosive projectile into the head of L.A. Times reporter Ruben Salazar. Thinking it would live on didnt document ten years of Whittier Blvd. Great time we were able to get a new car for $1500.00, and we could start it and make to a safe location . I had a 1971 super sport Monte Carlo, iy had a 454cu. in. 276hp motor. The same as a Corvette, The first SS Monte Carlo, rootbeer brown and a biege vinyl top.
Wow, the quality of the people at Periscope is really going down hill. No one there seems to know enough about the films to even know what they're about. At least they didn't claim this was narrated by Jimmy Stewart...

this gentleman is absolutely correct
I saw the ZX right away and knew it was probably early 80s as well.
79 was first year for the ZX.
'83 Riviera at 2:22

Miss you Dad..Richard C Palacios from the Pharoah's♥️👑 #longliveRichard #legend
Has anybody noticed how many 1980s cars are in this video definitely not 70s
I think the video is actually from 1983
Nice mix of cars.
Love that Spanish guitar. Remember the Pharoahs in American Graffiti.
I thought that too. Ripping the axle out of the patrol car, and some of their lines, just make the film that bit better.

Nice video and music to cruise in by.
Sounds like they are cruising to get into the Disneyland jungle cruise.

There are a few too many '80s cars in this video for it to have been filmed in the '70s.
NLRA ralph hernandez it was 1978-79

Home movies are very difficult to describe ... but what is it that you are specifically saying is not described properly?
