Hello Spencer and KT, The first restaurant in DCA we took our grandkids to was Rainforest Cafe, back in 2012. I'm very sad they closed it. Splash Mountain was our favorite ride snd we are very heartbroken that they are changing it.
Rainforest cafe was so awesome my whole family loved it. It was so much fun for get togethers for birthdays or family coming to visit from out of town. It would be great if they would bring it back.

Okay of course Rainforest wasn’t the best food, but the ambiance was super cool and worth eating there. Great place to take the kids. Yes big mistake taking it out. It’s so weird having the building there still. I miss ESPN zone too😞

Last time that I saw a sunbog was a little over a year ago and it look like a cat with angel wings playing and this was a few days after my fiance's cat passed away and we both said it was her letting us know that she is happy healthy and that she's okay😢😢😢😢
Rainforest Cafe was a tradition for our extended family Disneyland trips! I agree, Katie. 😊BIG mistake to shut it down because it was a unique family dining experience in Downtown. Food was’t amazing but the ambience and experience was great. Remembering the gorilla that intimidated my younger children (now adults). Even their merch was fun! We love Tortilla Joes and want it to stay! ❤ I like the Mickey Statue and hope it stays as well. I’m thankful you share and appreciate the planters! I love looking at landscaping.
I'm sorry but the rainforest cafe is absolute trash, the theme is cool if you're a kid but just really annoying and overwhelming when you're trying to eat dinner as an adult. It's way better off as the trading post

I think one of their biggest mistakes at DTD was getting rid of the 2 story build a bear. That is one my favorite memories going there as a kid.

Beignets at the express are way better than the Mickey ones in the park. I like the Julep from the park better.
