I have to ask you a question, J.P. and forgive my ignorance. If my question sounds uneducated, please don't hold it against me. Does your simulator not factor in playing the same team multiple times during the same season or factor in a coach's success/failure rate of how they faired against playing the same opponent multiple times in the same season? I ask because Coach Deboer has success against the same opponent in the same season. He was an underdog TWICE against Oregon and still won BOTH games. So, going by this playoff simulator, Bama plays Texas twice. You don't think Alabama and Coach Deboer couldn't split that match-up at least once?

Major issue with the playoffs here,
you have uga at 10-2 (L to bama and Texas) as the 9 seed
You have tennesee at 10-2 (L to bama and uga) as the 8 seed
How would tennesee be seeded above uga if uga had just beat them in the second to last game of the season?
Simple math. Tennessee currently ranked ahead of Georgia. Hypothetically if both end up losing 2 (h2h @Georiga) they probably wouldn’t plummet down the ranks for losing to a top 10 team on the road. All hypothetical anyways

Yes Alabama lost to Texas last year but it wasn’t because of talent gap. Maybe Jalen Milroe.
But Jalen is light years improved. Our defense is very talented despite being young. They will gain experience. And beating the same team twice is hard.

I’m confused. Josh said a two loss Georgia team that loses to Texas is at 9. Does that mean they beat Tennessee and do not jump them for number 8? And in the same breath says that head to head matters with LSU USC. Therefore USC gets in. Just wondering what the logic is for UGA at 9 and Tennessee at 8

I watched the Miami VT game and have no doubt that the refs cheated VT out of a win. VT had a touchdown catch with time expiring and it was correctly called a game winning TD. I saw all the slow motion plays and it confirmed the TD catch. The commentators even said they didn’t see anything to overturn the call but after the review they called it an incomplete pass. Another game decided by the refs. This is why I know Miami is way overhyped.
You must have been high on crack when you watched the replay. It was never a catch. He never had possession. A Miami player was out of bounds and touched the ball before anyone had possession. It’s been reviewed by everyone and there momma that gets paid to review plays and guess what. Unanimously all say it was not a catch.
GA can have an off night and almost lose to Kentucky. Alabama can have an off night and almost lose to USF. But Miami can’t have an off/close game to a rival on a Friday night because they are overrated?
