Jimmie is just the king of cool. Kim’s one of the greatest Blues singers of all time ! What a great band these guys were. Fabulous by name, Fabulous by nature. Awesome!
Love how they always focus on the guitar player's strumming hand. Hey, I can figure that out, it's the rest I need to see, especially with Jimmie. LOL!
Poor jimmy thinks he is a real blues player. Just standard playing..his brother killed him and jimmy said I've been there first so he was trying to follow me!?? Nope Stevie ray blew you and your dreams out of the water
Jimmie is indeed a real blues player. You don't seem to be familiar with his catalog or influence amongst blues guitarists. They were different players. Stevie rarely stepped outside the Hendrix/Albert King zone, which he was incredible at, but Jimmie had a wider range of styles. When people like Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, and Steve Cropper count you as one of their favorite guitarists, you have done something right.
I had the great pleasure of seeing Stevie play live twice. He was a great and incredibly powerful player, but I actually prefer Jimmie's playing. He plays his own way. I have never really understood the need of so many to make guitar playing a contest. I don't personally care for many of today's "blues" players because, to me, they overplay and stray too far from the sounds I like. I don't feel the need to talk down on them on TH-cam, however.
Yeah..I was raised with the Vaughan Bros and I can tell you that you are full of $#!+! Stevie always credited his brother with being his biggest influence. Those of us from back in the day damned sure know what Jimmie was throwing down. He toned WAY DOWN for his studio work and had mellowed out by the mid 80's choosing a more subdued approach to playing. Best go check out videos on TH-cam of his live shows from the late 70's and early 80's you hapless F$%^wad and you'll see where SRV got much of his chops from. There is no shortage of imbeciles who think Jimmie stood in anybody's shadow.

Love this band, always feel as though JLV doesn't get the respect he deserves !
You look at that battered guitar, and you know the guy is going to be a fantastic player (and he is)
Sensational..rhythem is sweet and melody is great. Fabulous on stage bringing the beat to the fans

Yeah I wish they’d show the left hand and what it’s doing. The right hand is easy to figure out what it’s doing

What's going on with Preston's stage outfit? There has to be a story behind that.
Right!? 😂

The Fabulous Thunderbirds were such an underrated band, in my opinion. I've always liked Jimmie's playing more than Stevie Ray's.
Hot damn! Is that Doyle Bramhall II with them?
for sure
DBII paying tribute to Buddy Gay ;)
Slim Jim Phantom on double bass?
Preston Hubbard on bass.
Fran Christina on drums
Bass player looks like his pants are down over his ankles.
