I have been in countless gunfire battles in the 5 tours when in the Marines and if you count to 60 seconds in real-time feels its slot longer, but this is what a trained soldier feels due to getting used to it. I will tell you this my first couple gun battles with killing someone or getting shot bothered me in my dreams and idle time gave me panic attacks. But I got used to the bullets flying past my body and hitting the ground all around me. Its been two decades later and the gun fights don't bother me but the handful of the face to face killings still bother me, so I pray these young men wake up and get away from their neighborhoods and get a fresh start.
