    I like the Supernova. I would be interested to math it out to it stacks up against the 4x ER PPC Masakari. Obviously the six lasers pack more punch, but then considering armor, heat sinking, the targeting computer...
    Both weigh 24 tons, the 4 PPCs do 300 dmg and make 160 heat, the 6 lasers do 330 dmg and make 180 heat. Then there's the stability damage and the accuracy debuff of the PPCs...

      The Supernova default loadout also comes with jumpjets which add some utility... and am I missing something? Clan ER L Lasers do 50 damage, not 55, right? so it should be 300 damage for both mechs?

      @@Calmputer My math is probably wrong. The jump jets do add mobility at the expense of further heat management. If it can't reliably fire its lasers, that definitely reduces its effectiveness. Personally, I never used the jets on a Supernova, since it's so long range anyway. I would always just dismount them in favor of more heatsinks and armor.
