I'm happy my videos are bingeable 😆 I had fun making those 2 videos so I thought that it would be funny to document the entire process the next time instead of just being like "here's what happened" so that's what "the new grad diaries" is (if I can actually edit the other videos in between drowning in school assignments and midterms lol). And yeah it's wack that I was able to do both but I don't have any regrets with it even though it was hard. I filmed a video reflecting on doing both but I'm waiting on reviews from ppl at shopify and twitch and that always takes forever 😭

Thank you so much! I actually just applied normally through a bunch of job portals and on company websites. I asked some other people and that's what they do as well. I guess the best way to get a job is to actually know people who work there or network with them and then get them to refer you to the position. Job portals are the hardest way to get in
Oh also if you google software engineering internships then a lot of github links pop up since people make lists of jobs still open and I used those too actually

Ugggghhhh by not studying too much I guess. What I didn't mention in the video was that I went on leetcode 0 times. I still did practice questions though don't worry. But looking for jobs was hard. I found them mostly through linkedin, indeed, and googke jobs I think. If you're interested in startups then there's also AngelList. It was tough. Or just find a company you like and go to their specific careers page. A lot of internships (especially summer ones) start recruiting 1 year in advance. So if you want a job next summer then you apply in September basically

Put in a lot of effort to learn something fully because it might come back to bite you in the butt and force you to relearn it. Also I recommend joining communities and groups that are in tech so you can meet new people and also attend events!
