Joy I was born in Calabria and I have been back so many many times. I still have fam8ly there. I love it there. It’s home even thought I was two years old when we immigrated to Canada
Sunny's slave owner comment was so unnecessary. Trying to minimize her families sins. Notice she has stopped talking about reparations since she found she has to pay up!
@@staceywjI know why she said it. She should not have mentioned it today to Joy, when referring to her own family. Sunny behaves like a juvenile in an adult body, and just proved it again in this clip.
No she hasn’t! She still believes in reparations. Do you not get the context. Slave owner anecdote means sexual violence. There was little romance in this time. If you have an enslaved and enslaver as ancestors. Why wasn’t this thought out?
At least Joy is talking about her discovery instead of Sunny where she covers or somewhat dodges her discovery of her ancestors being Slave Owners and Slave Traders. Even though Sunny said she admits it and she accepted it in front of the camera on "Finding Your Roots," but when on The View, she did not even said about one part of her family tree were ancestors of owned and sold slaves. She never wanted to admit or to accept that in her ancestry and bloodline there were ancestors of Slave Owners. Name of video: "The Exact Moment ‘The View’s’ Sunny Hostin Finds Out Slave Owner Past"
It wasn’t rude, but it was absurd considering her ancestors aren’t from America. It’s a logical question to ask ANYONE whose ancestors were born in the USA in the last 200-260 years or more. If you asked me the question, the answer would be ABSOLUTELY. And I’m related to a lot of “ White” people and they to me because of the male & female White slaveholders we descend from.
The reason Sunny asked Joy that question was because when she was on an episode of Finding Your Roots, she found that her relative owned at least one slave in Spain where her mother's family was from. You take care 🙂
What wrong with asking if slaves were in her family tree. Most people that go on that show have some history with slavery. Not sure why it offends some. I take that back it seem to offend white people for some reason.
Lets not forget Sunnys colorful past 😂😂😂
Living in proximity is how MOST people in centuries and decades past met their spouses.
Yep. Next door. Same street.
There's no reason to be afraid to visit Calabria. It's spectacular, both the landscape and the people. Go.

The View needs to retire😅
I can’t believe they made Sunny talk about having Slave owner family history. MOST AFRICAN AMERICANS DO….
😂 why she is racist she is living up to her history
It’s like she doesn’t think anyone not black is not worth her time.. she is the most racist!!

Nobody makes Sunny, a former DA, talk about anything. It was a joke because that what "Finding Your Roots" is usually about!

Sunny has been acting different since her husband was accused of insurance fraud.
Not really.. thats the scary part

Sunny stop, it’s all about Joy right now.
We always love Joy Bayha!
Joy Behar is very special and influential.
every time I hear Joy talk I hear Fred Armisens impersonation of her.

Where is The View Co-host Sara Haines at today?
Who cares hahaha
She's in my bedroom. Mind your own business.

Me too.
It's safer in Calabria than it is in New York. Reggio Calabria is so beautiful. As well, Calabria is an region in Italy, not a city.

How fun! Would love to watch that episode of Joy

Last thing this country needed is a worthless DEI hire for president. I thank God she didn't win. She is absolutely worthless.
I agree with you Harris shut be the next president of America she is a great person for the people ❤ love her and Baden
Sunny needs to go #firesunny
Not trying to be facetious here but can “normal” people do this?? Just asking because I’d love to do this with my family tree.
Of course you can. Why would there be a law that only talk show hosts can research their family tree?
This just have been the greatest segment in the history of the View!
Sunny is intolerable. Brian, EPs - do not be scared to fire her! Enough is enough.
Hey, I'll take Sonny any day over Meghan McCain. I had to stop watching when she was on. Such a self righteous whiner
