This is wrong: you do not need to file an 8949 if all of your stock purchases were reported "on another form or schedule". Every stock I have ever sold was reported on a 1099-B by the brokerage agency, so most people probably do not need to fill out form 8949.
adamw86 im guessin its still best to document ur transactions on paper tho.. in a notebook and keep it safe.. just in case u never get those reports from ur broker.

No, you don't assist with the data. Bought the $95+ desktop version (ever since Turbo Tax was created). This year, even though Coinbase has a csv export file with the data, YOU, TurboTax do not provide an IMPORT function. Why did great software become antiquated? And why do you allow ONLINE users to import the csv but not Desktop users? (Desktop users historically believe their data is more secure, and not subject to bad actors, since just about every site has had bad actor's infiltrate to some extent it seems.) Anyway, please do not indicate you make it easy, when you overlooked this giant feature for desktop users. Pls update your video: Crypto exchanges like Coinbase DO NOT issues 1099-B. And when trying to enter 1099-MISC you don't allow an entry without the vendor 1099 (such as entering the misc income that would go to the 1040.) This is frustrating after touting your software for over 20 years to everyone.
This video was a wonderful presentation. She really knew what she was there to do! Thank you very much

@@codecaine Do I only have to list the wash sales or do I have to list all of them. Etrade list everything on my 1099b. Can I just include that
thank you for this!
Exactly. IN MY OPINION.
So I’m looking at this video and thought that all transactions could be imported and they are grossed up. Is this true or not?
Yea but if you have over 4000 transactions they leave you high and dry.
Is this video not current?
Current as of 2012.
