  • @toysforboysrc

    Thank you James, but Im having some technicalities with the
    D-safe drive cups.. Does Scorched make identical drive cups but without the D-safe design?

    • @jamesmccoy204
      @jamesmccoy204  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scorched does have cups in all sizes,
      They do not have D safe cups

    • @toysforboysrc
      @toysforboysrc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesmccoy204 … 😎okay awesome, that makes sense now. Their site says.. “specially designed for Arrma safe-d type input shafts (with 2 flats)” so I was expecting the drive cups to have the D-safe flat spots on them, but they do not. However scorched is the most recognized RC aftermarket parts maker and no body is complaining so I won’t let it bother me so long as it’s strait and eliminates the wobble.😁

    I love the look and quality of Scorched parts, I have some on my Outcast, the differential housings look amazing! The only thing that comes to mind is the added weight over composite housings, is there much difference or is it worth it for the added strength and more accurate tolerances over the others? I appreciate your insight!

    • @jamesmccoy204
      @jamesmccoy204  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The weight is really a non issue , and with the added durability its well worth it

      @@jamesmccoy204 Thank you, I have most of what I need to get started with my Limitless V2 build, I did want to look into a chassis from Scorched, but I noticed there are a few different options, I’m looking to run the FC100 body and wanted to run the square SRD V2 SMC 4s 6800 packs in it, it’s my first one so I’m unsure of what I need for side trays, and anything else, it’s no fun to spend big money and not end up with the correct stuff, could I message you with some questions?

    Hey James awesome builds man!
    You know if scorched diff lockers make the steering servo struggle to turn ?
    Mi limitless v1 does not move after 50 % of travel after I put them
    Just wanna know if it’s normal

    • @jamesmccoy204

      Thank you, being locked is harder on a servo while the car is moving but a good servo has no problem turning.

  • @ninthislandrc

    Great video, and useful info. I am, however, curious about something - the sideways-mounted ESCs. I REALLY like how it "cleans up" the wiring (literally, one of the 'cleanest' wiring jobs I've ever seen)...but, does it affect the COG, and, if so, by how much? Also, how might a single ESC/motor setup be affected by a sideways-mounted ESC?

    • @jamesmccoy204
      @jamesmccoy204  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you
      Mounting the esc's like this actually changes noithing, I have logs for literally 1000's of pass with ESCs Mounted on their side and flat, and there is no differences,
      I actually run most of mine on there side to save space .

    • @ninthislandrc
      @ninthislandrc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesmccoy204 Wasn't referring to top electronics data (ie. 'logs')...was referring to the physical handling of the vehicle (something logs don't have the ability to indicate). Normally, with race & crawling vehicles...ie. anything other than "bashers"...one wants the lowest COG possible. Raise it higher, and it starts causing handling problems. That's why I was asking.

    • @jamesmccoy204
