    It's such a breath of fresh air to finally hear 2 commentators who are also players! The way they analyze the layout after the break and share ideas with each other is very instructive for amateur players like myself, and very entertaining to listen to. A million times better than the Phil Yates type of commentators who have nothing valuable to contribute to the conversation.

      Except too much talking. They don't need to be perpetually speaking. Always trying to call the shots is more ego stroking than useful. We have eyes, so let us watch what the players do then add some commentary when its most needed. Else everything they say becomes noise.

    Definitely gained a lot of respect for FSR's talent watching this 8 ball tournament. Some rotation players struggle a bit with 8 ball but he shows some amazing strategy throughout this tournament in addition to just raw firepower. Well done amigo!! Fedor had no love on the breaks, his 8 ball game is super solid but if you don't get to shoot, you can't win.

    Looks like the head ball is about 1/2 a ball higher than the middle diamond.

    Ruiz! good fake out on the 10 ball (22:40)min., since u prob. not get out going 12 ball 1st & open up 4-5 for Gorst! REALLY no one else thot this? Gorst did, & expressed it with next shot; but ended with a scratch... he would never hit a simple break out shot that hard... But still a ballsy move to give up the table to let FG break'em out. :), FS-Ruiz pulled a Tom Cruise but won!

    Other then having your hand on the rail, I don’t see the benefit from breaking from the side in 8/10 ball. But hey these guys have the credentials and I don’t so the definitely know something I don’t.

  • @shannonmcstormy5021
    @shannonmcstormy5021 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's truly amazing what (relatively speaking) minor changes to the table makes. I break better than these guys; more consistently pot balls on the break in 8-Ball on 9' tables. But the designed-to-be-tough tables these guys are playing on mean that even though (obviously) these guys are orders of magnitude better than me in every way, because of the tables, the results are different. I would hate to play on these tables.

  • @cosmicraysshotsintothelight
    @cosmicraysshotsintothelight ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That 'drag the cue ball against the rail' is the most stupid thing I have ever seen ANY pool player do. It does NOT "clean the ball" and the rules state that you are not allowed to do so. So here is why it does NOT clean the ball. The ball sits on a SPOT called the tangency point. Dragging it on the rail will only "clean" a single linear stripe and a very thin one at that. And I think it is not even legal for a player to clean the cue ball, and he must ask the referee to do it, even in ball in hand situations.

    • @suewoo5
      @suewoo5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another moronic comment from captain burger boi. Most times ppl do this they are SPOT cleaning. Meaning they see a smudge of dirt or chalk and wipe it off with the rail. You def a bit slow
