Congratulations Dr. Malke I want to ask you a question from your experience What does it take to get a very high score like your score ?? A very high level of IQ or a lot of preparation and perseverance with a normal rate of IQ ??? In other words, does a lot of preparation for people with normal IQ levels enable them to get as high a score as yours ?? I hope you will answer me.🌸🌸🌸
Thank you for the great advice Dr.Assad . Your video is very helpful and I will follow your sound advice .I just passed my Step 1 and honestly believe you really need to concentrate FA, Uworld, , Pathoma and videos. Specifically videos of Randy McNeil MD, and I also found Dirtymedicine and Sketchymedicine quite helpful. Thanks again, and God bless.
@@MDZac2024 True, but I heard the same thing about the MCAT and I have only met arrogant people w/ high MCAT scores and I'm seeing the same thing with high USMLE scores. So the question is which comes first, the high score or the personality? 🤷♀
Score determines if u get an interview or not. in highly competitive programs the first filter that they apply is score (higher better) and attempt number. Then they look at letters and experience and graduation years. Once u get an interview personality matters most. Saw some people do some crazy stuff during the interview so be mindful.
Hi Dr. Asaad, I LOVE your videos. On your research course, you mentioned that you are producing two more courses which cover research topics (one being statistics). When do you approximate that course will be made available? I am looking forward to it!
Thank you for the videos your advices are really helpful. Could you please tell me how many questions would you review an hour on average ? And how do you suggest I review the explanation of the questions ? I’m spending a bit much time highlighting and reviewing the questions .
There are so many subjects in Uworld CK ..How do you approach these while making a block in the 1st pass? And what is the diff between shelf review ( containing 3857 qs ) and Step2 Review ( containing 3997qs ) ?
What are your recommendations for a an old graduate who is currently specialized in one area of medicine regarding the preparation time, study materials and u world q bank?
Malke, you are very honest and a excellent human being, and i believe you are honest in most of your videos!! Question-Did you listen to divine intervention podcast??
Thanks for the video! My question is, did you not make any cards over concepts to review? I find that I want to make cards for review, but it ends up taking a very long time every day and then I dont have enough time to do questions. Would appreciate feedback!
Hi dr. A Anna here, i feel like i forget everything when i study. You can never know everything at once, thats impossible. I love how you are IMG plastic surgery i want to be just like you.
Thankyou for the detailed video . I have just star my internship from my home country. If I start my preparation now for Step 1 , would I be able to finish step 2 CK and OET by September 15 of 2022 ? Or should I wait for 1 more year to build up my CV , give step 3 and then apply ?
Hi..a quick question for step 2 ck... If i have previous knowledge from usmle rx and and amboss,so then should i do uw one pass or 2 passes and in which order random timed mode or subject mode?? TIA
Can you explain the score report? Mine makes no sense. How are you supposed to break down your relative strength and weaknesses? My score and my area of knowledge do not even correlate and nbme will not explain it in a way that makes any sense.
Hi doctor, I am currentmy attending my 4th year medical school and medical school in my country is 7 years long the last 2 years of which are spent as an intern full time in the hospital. My question is if I want to apply for an elective am i considered a medical student until my 7th year or only up to my 5th year ?
You said you had a good knowledge base of the step 2 ck subjects from med school. So which books you suggest for clinical subjects like medicine, paeds, gyne obg in medical school that would help us form a strong base to proceed directly to uworld step 2 ck , if we're to take the exam after med school? I'm using books like Davidson, bailey & love and ten teachers. So would these help me to form a good base to proceed directly to the uworld question bank?
Thank you doc for your video, what NBME Self-Assessment would you suggest the most? Did you find UWorld SA 1&2 better than NBME SA? My step 2 CK is in less than a month 😀
hi doctor u mention that biostatistic review from uworld , so is it the same of biostatistic in Qbank uworld of step 2 ck or from biostatistic question in step 1 uworld can you give me idea from which part in uword thanks
If you are an MS1 or MS2 and your med school does organ system blocks (all cardiology physiology and pathophysiology for 6-8 weeks, then all pulmonary, etc.) Do you see any benefit in doing Uworld step 1 questions from cardiology system and supplementing that with Uworld step 2 cardiology at the same time? Not sure if this is possible, I haven't started uworld yet, but seemed like a decent idea
Given that UW now is 3,600+ questions for STEP 1 and 4,050+ for STEP 2, I think that would be very challenging to do. I prefer you focus on STEP 1 UW for STEP 1

I scored 280+ and I have one piece of advice. Less resources, more revision.
