The main issue is that people like to film and watch Indian barbers, cobblers, masseuse, and feel the ASMR, but do you know how much abject poverty they are suffering from? These guys dont even get enough good food to eat nor can afford good medicines. They sit near the roads and are exposed to pollution, and drink unpurified water and delay medical care because they can't afford it. I am an Indian so I see the reality everyday.
if we're being honest, these Western TH-camrs are exploiting Indian people. we know Laal Baba, Baba Sen, Manoj Master etc. by name, as if they're celebrities. But how much money from these TH-cam views do they get? Even a generous tip to the barber is a small percentage of the $$ from millions of views online.
we should empower Indian barbers to record and film themselves, not get a wage while Westerners take their labor and profit off of it online.
@@feastmode7931 there are a lot of indian barbers who have their own popular channels and make some profit out of it. usually the big european youtubers feature them first, and if the viewers like them and demand for more, they start their own channel. I see nothing wrong with that.
