I have a bike like this (2008 Kona Shred)
First thing you should do is replace the chain, maybe a new singlespeed conversion kit. then it'll run a lot smoother.

Dude im actually goin to check out some mtb's at a pawn shop tomorrow! I can only hope i can find a bike in as good condition as this one,with disc brakes too. good find for 200 bucks man. Enjoy that and can't wait to see some more footage.
