    For the Petite Chef you want to rock it back and forth to mince, chop and dice your fruits and veggies. One hand on top & the other hand holding the wedge lock handle. This way your hands and fingers are never close to the blade. 9:12 Yes as recommended in our Cutco Product Care Guide “Pay attention and take your time while cutting. There is no need to rush.” I’m a Cutco representative since 2001.

    Kitchen Daddy,
    My parents were married in 1955. They received a set of Cutco knives and accessories for a wedding present. I was born in 1957 and I still use these knives daily. I learned how to cook with Cutco. They have never been factory sharpened. I use a steel on them occasionally and they are good to go. Without a doubt, they are the best knives on the market!
    Bon Appetit my friend!

    I have A Cutco set. My mother bought them for me over 15 years ago as a gift. They are still going strong! I was actually thinking about this the other day - how long I’ve had them & they are the best knives I own! We absolutely❤️them! And I will never need to buy another block of knives ever again.

    Handles are made of high quality thermoresin. Resists cracking and chipping. Will not absorb oils, detergents and odors. Years ago it was made of of what a ferrari bumper was made of, knowing cutco Im sure thru technology they have improved it to make it stronger if possible. Had mine for 33 yrs. Thomas Lamb, an industrial designer, called the handle man, designed the handle modeled on the mechanics of the human hand. His work was featured in the Museum of Modern Art. You can research him. Happy Day

They offer an industry standard warranty, yet they charge am exorbitant price for 440a stainless, stamped (not forged) blade with an uncomfortable handle. I would like you to know these are NOT steak knives hun. They are table knives! They have the same cutting ability to an extent due to the double d edge on the blade- however our steak knives are true luxury!
    They are bigger and they have 3 rivets through them making them fully balanced.

    Cutco knifes are junk! They us cheap 440a stamped steel. There quality and materials are on par with knifes found at Walmart or target for $100 bucks a set. Don’t be a fool and pay $1,600 a set! Do your research and buy quality knifes like zwilling or wusthof.

    • @casekunick319
      @casekunick319 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a wildly inaccurate statement. Do your research and buy American made knives that have a forever guarantee that ARE quality. Cutco will out last a wusthof knife or a heckels due to the Double D patented edge. The straight edges are similar to those brands however CUTCO has the forever warranty if anything happens to them.

  • @damonp357
    @damonp357 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    In my opinion Cutco knives are over priced for what you get. They use 440A steel, and they are stamped not forged. 440A is a really low carbon steel and will not hold an edge as long as a VG10 or SG2 . For what they cost you can get a set of Wusthof or Shun and Shun also has free life time sharpening.

    • @bitrudder3792
      @bitrudder3792 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cutco is meant more for the home chef who isn't going to sharpen their knives as regularly as a chef would, and the cost is definitely built in for the salespeople and the personalized service I've enjoyed from them since making a few purchases years ago. Love the shears that come apart easily for cleaning. The big cleaver made a breeze out of dealing with whole chickens. On all the knives, I really like the ergonomic curve of the handles that fit my hand well. I didn't buy a huge block, just bought the ones that made sense, plus a couple that appealed to my husband. None of my knives cut better than Cutco except an ancient Victorinox paring knife with only two teeny-tiny rivets holding the handle on, and not full tang. Nowhere near the quality of Wusthof or Shun. But it cuts tomatoes like a dream. So does Cutco. On the other hand, when I had the money I was happy to use a little extra to help build young people's college funds and or to grow young entrepreneurs' businesses, especially since they didn't mind coming over to sharpen my knives whether I was going to buy something from them, or not. I may not have so much disposable income now, but I'm not going to have to replace my knives, either. And they are American made, something I have come to appreciate.

  • @johnruiz6743
    @johnruiz6743 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Man! My cheapie set from BHG holds an edge longer than Cutco knives and they cost less! They have Thyssen Krupp 1.4116 German steel! Knives made in Brazil and the fit and finish is phenomenal for the price! Been using them for years! The Cutco knives have an odd handle which takes some getting used to. I like handles with either half bolsters or full bolsters better, like my BHG knives and my Wusthofs.

      Thank you for your comment. To clear this up, I never proclaimed to be a chef... My show is built of me as a single father having to produce 3 square meals for my kids. I have been doing this since they were 2 and 4 full time without their mother involved. All without relying on fast food. This has been a very rewarding experience that few fathers have been recognized. The Cutco knives were purchased to support a high school student. Please continue to support because my heart is in a good place trying to help and support others that might have been pushed into an uncomfortable position simple as cooking.

    How is this video not satire. Dude does not know how to handle knives, he cuts like a high school student taking culinary bc they’re afraid of gym class. Also Cutco is the uncleaned fish tank water of culinary utensils. Soft, weak steel, the only good thing about Cutco is it’s easy to sharpen, yet can’t keep an edge or even a good edge on top of that. 1/3 of this comment section is just reps trying to rip off another victim. Overpriced junk and immoral business practices
