Brother the timing of this video is impeccable. I work in housing sales and 2024 was full grind mode, all about being more productive and “hustle culture”, even going the route of “finally clearing my gaming backlog” until the tail end of the fall/winter months. I made the most money I have ever earned in my life but yet was feeling a bit empty/unfulfilled. This year, 2025, the word is BALANCE. Keep the grind going without having the things I enjoy, like gaming, fall to the wayside in the name of “improvement” and “time optimization.” Keep up the great work and content 🦾🤓
I plan on writing at least 2,000 words a day and releasing a book every other month starting in April. I have two novels planned and three novellas. The novellas will make this goal easier to hit so I can get into a good groove going into next year, where it will probably be all novels. Things have been working out so far, and I'm very excited to see where it goes!
Resonated with me! 2025 Goals- 1.) Be a great dad to my daugther being born any week now 2.) Reach diamond benchmarks in Voltaic aim training 3.) Document my mnk aiming progression with old school commentaries on learning on my channel 4.) Hero rank in Halo Infinite!
Did not expect to see Ali Abdaal here. You rock dude, looking out for your audience by directing their attention to things that will have sustained, long term benefits.
I've gone back to University as a masters student at the age of 26 (27 at the end of March). I'm studying to become a professional video editor with the goal of working in Movie/Video Game trailers. I've already gotten work with a small indie game in Febuary. I suffer from a lot of anixety and depression and have a lot of friends who are more successful than me and I want to catch up and make up for the lost years I had when I was unemployed. In 2025, I want to be a better version of me.
Great video, here are my goals for this year 1) Get a good job and make life stable. 2) Spend more time with my loved ones. 3) Start a TH-cam Channel. 4) Become a healthier version of myself. 5) Playing games I really wanna enjoy and talk about them.
This is a great video, hell yeah man! Sleep is definitely the underrated key to success in physical and emotional betterment in our modern world. :) This year, I'm levelling up to be a parent, so that's definitely a big part of it. I've been slowly drifting out of shape (or rather, into a different shape), and I also plan on fixing that issue, getting more fit. :)
Longtime Todoist user here, too. Great tool. As for goals, I'm focusing on trying to slow down and balance out my love of playing everything new that comes out with my desire to truly immerse myself in the lengthy RPGs still on my backlog that I know will provide me memorable journeys. Pairing that with decluttering my games media intake, as well, to try and spend more time doing, less time listening/watching others, and reduce FOMO.
@@BBKDRAGOON I'll be honest, my biggest and most important "tool" is probably having an accountability partner. I use that term lightly because we talk heavily about not constraining ourselves to hard rules, but having one close friend on the same growth journey (he's a huge fan of yours also) does absolute wonders for helping me stay consistent and locked in on the bigger picture of what we want our gaming year to look like in the end rather than the week-to-week FOMO.
I've been honing the hobby for a few years of Unreal Game Development. This year my goal is to complete my first game and release it on steam! I'm on track to hopefully do so in 2 or 3 months with this third person shooter I'm making. I think alot about things said on here like how to focus on the fun, not bloated time wasting content in the game.
I bought a daily planner to do focused time blocking and track 5 goals every day, one of which is 15min of gaming. It's been working out surprisingly well so far
I'm not too sure what my goals will be for 2025. I'm 27 years old and I feel like I've mostly been "coasting through life" up until recently. Last year I achieved the only real goal I'd set for myself: moving out of my parents' place. I share an apartment with a roommate and it feels pretty good to live independently. I haven't set anything in stone yet, but some goals I'm interested in reaching include: 1.) Exercising more consistently, maybe even taking up a sport or physical hobby 2.) Doing something creative, whether it's learning to draw or paint or produce music on my PC, maybe even a TH-cam channel? 3.) Somewhat related, I love heavy music. Maybe I could learn to sing/scream and potentially join a local band for fun 4.) Start trying to date/get a girlfriend? 5.) Last but not least, I really want to make 2025 the year where I give myself the grace to be imperfect. These goals have been in the background of my mind for years, but I've never really done anything because I think I'm mostly afraid of "failing" or not living up to my own expectations.
Great video a lot resonated with me. I created a bingo board for the new year so that way it’s more fun when I achieve something on there. Still working on getting the systems down, but one step at a time.
I definetly want to start a youtube channel, I think sharing my thoughts with people will definetly be benficial for me and also teach me some fun skills like video editing
My Goals for 2025 - ° Get a stable job soon ° Keep on going to Gym and eat healthy ° Read more books ° Research more in my field (Cybersecurity) ° Start my own firm soon ° (Try &) Hit Rank Gold in Siege and Marvel Rivals ° Play more single-player games ° Go on trips with my girlfriend and friends/family. I will do my best to achieve them. Wish me luck guys! 🤞🏻🧿
Reading and listening to Atomic Habits has been great. I'm using a habit tracker strategy from the book to write consistently 6 times a week. Reading about some of the success stories in the book and how powerful small and cosistent wins can be is inspiring, so I deffo second BBK's recommendation.
My plan to level up this year!! is to make 1 youtube video every week, to get better at it!! Go to the gym 3 to 5 times every week Stream 2/3 times in a week And eat better❤
Very kind of you to say, thank you! This video was fully scripted. I always write notes for my videos, but this one I wanted to script to make sure I hit on all the points I wanted to. Again thank you and glhf in 2025!
Life is really busy right now but I still want to try and get outdoors more. I just wish there were cool mountain biking trails around like I see in your vids. Way too hilly around here. Could be a future topic for a vid or a brief mention in the podcast or neither: I've been really discouraged by this talk about Halo and Gears coming to other consoles. It's honestly making me feel like, if it's true, I should just sell my Series X once I'm doing playing everything, because what's the point in having the console if all the games are going to go elsewhere? PS5 is giving me a good home console experience as is right now, so it's not like I'd be losing out on anything meaningful, but it's still hard to say goodbye after all these years. Is there any real value in sticking with Xbox, or is it time to rip the bandaid off and use that money elsewhere?
Thank you for the comment, I put it in our show doc for episode 5 of the dual comm podcast, we'll cover it there I think. It's a tough question, Xbox is definitely leaning in a new direction. If you preference is to only have one system, sure seems like xbox is going platform agnostic moving forward
Man I start college this year and I messed up in secondary school, I was a rlly bad guy. Half the school hates me and luckily some have forgiven me, I'm just worried now that I won't be able to make new friends and be myself. Any tips from ya'll
College is a fresh start. New people and just a new experience. Just be who you want to be and you will grow into it. And maybe you will find a lifelong friend in college. I met a friend In college and still game with him once a week all these years later. I only talk with a small handful of people from high school. People go off in different directions and become out of touch once high school ends. It’s just the way of life.
@nebned no problem. And good luck. And just remember your mistakes are there for you to learn and grow from. Don’t let them define who you are today or tomorrow.
Just be yourself and be open to telling people you did a bad or sorry. If people over time just aren't vibing with you its not your fault, there's friends out there for everyone
1- Get closer to my religion and learn it. 2- Spend more time with friends and family. 3- Eating healthier and increasing physical activity. 4- Actually start enjoying gaming again by playing through my backlog, and slowly of course. That seems to be a great year to me.
My 2025 goals Gaming- play more single player games and break out of the live service hamster wheel. TH-cam- grow beyond Halo, 75k subs even though count doesn't matter as much now, but it'll be a sign of progress. MTB- Get back into the routine.
my goal gaming wise is to really enjoy it, i bought some games last year that were hailed as great and worth playing and they where cyberpunk and lies of P (i just dont rate them at all!)
Gotta do the ANDREW HUBERMAN MORNING ROUTINE OF WAKING UP AT 6AM, COLD SHOWER, SALT IN YOUR WATER, ZEN GARDEN, CHAMOMILE TEA AND SACRIFICING A SMALL GOAT TO ODIN TO BE SUCCESSFUL!!! But srsly, I feel you with being tired of the “Success guru” culture here lol your vids are much more relatable
What if my goals are unobtainable? The past 2 years my goal was to get back into Software Engineering, but with the job market, AI, and the economy this is looking less and less realistic. My degree and 4 YoE mean nothing to employers apparently.
I can relate. Might be useful and look good on your resume to keep your SE skills up to date. See if any colleges offer any short classes for graduates to keep their skills sharp. The university I graduated from offers classes like that a couple times a year.
2025 is going to be a great year.
Absolutely! Crush it! glhf and thanks

Good luck dading. Dad of three kids here, I think the two keys are patience and just wanting to be a good parent so you're halfway there brother!
Excellent goals, and congrats on the new kiddo!!!! Hopefully here soon, cheers

Love his content, and that book is fantastic, the concept of the ideal schedule is a game changer. Cheers and thank you for the kind words.

I loved this. I feel like we’re all part of this journey together. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much! glhf this year!
Really enjoying what you're doing and looking forward to see where you're going. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much!

@@BBKDRAGOON Thank you good sir !! You've been a true inspiration for me. One of the best channels !! ♥️

I definitely need to approach gaming with more intentionality.
It completely changed my life last year
Already got Atomic Habits, but I like the sound of "Positive Productivity". Definitely something I struggle with.
Feel Good Productivity is awesome, Ali's concept of the ideal schedule was a GAME changer for me. glhf and thanks
Honestly some of the best content i get these days, do you write scripts or bullet points for your content?

Happy New Year bro, hope you're doing well
My 2025 goals
Gaming- play more single player games and break out of the live service hamster wheel.
TH-cam- grow beyond Halo, 75k subs even though count doesn't matter as much now, but it'll be a sign of progress.
MTB- Get back into the routine.
Love this! Love your content, whatever you are covering
I’m about ready to just give up in 2025.
my goal gaming wise is to really enjoy it, i bought some games last year that were hailed as great and worth playing and they where cyberpunk and lies of P (i just dont rate them at all!)
Enjoy! I haven't played Lies of P but Cyberpunk was fantastic
Guess im the only person on the internet with an inconsistent shift layout. Consistency is not an option for me!
My overall goal for 2025 is to monetize my main TH-cam channel. I just need watch hours now
Right on! Hope it happens quick and enjoy the process! cheers
