In my last video I saw a comment thread start talking about when ALR and the 1000 pound sisters were fighting over the internet. I thought it was interesting because I had always imagined ALR and the 1000 pound sisters had so much in common, Walmart, weight gain and weight loss and of course Walmart. This beef started when ALR was jealous that the two sisters got a show on TLC and ALR did not. Then one of the 1000 pound sisters, Amy, posted a parody making fun of ALR.

TLC definitely made the right choice. Tammy may not be losing weight, but Amy and Chris are. I highly doubt Amber would be losing weight. And I want to see someone win, not struggle.
According to ALR TLC reached out to her to be on My 600LB Life..but she rejected it because "Dr. Now's program doesn't work for her..she has a special case that cutting calories and carbs won't help, so it's a waste of her time." Because she's some medical mystery who calories in/calories out doesn't apply to. 🙄🙄🙄 It's despicable.

To be fair, ALR takes forever to talk & repeats her go to phrases all the time. The 10+ minutes is accurate too because ALR tends to make it that way for YT money reasons. Well she literally got cancer from it (and had to remove her uterus) and still hasn’t lost the weight. If anything will motivate her to lose weight, it won’t be medically related
About a year ago she got diagnosed with stage 1 cancer, of the uterus I think, and she still hasn't changed. She managed to beat it which is good but yeah, clearly didn't learn from it.

It's not related to the video but I have to get this off my chest, as a first year med student we have to take human anatomy course. As the practice part of the course we are dissecting in the prosectorium. Our group got a body of a very obese woman. The moment I saw her organs I knew its time to start move more and eat better. Heart covered in fat and the amount of it that we had to dissect to get to the muscles was overwhelming. Every day when I go to the class I get a reminder why proper diet and movement is so important

Yes! I was scrolling through comments and saw yours and just got a flashback to two years ago dissecting an obese person. We had to prepare the body for the exam so all the structures could be identified, which meant clearing out visceral fat.... Some of it came out in handfuls (which is horrifying in itself), but working it off organ by organ just... hits you like a tonne of bricks. Upwards of 12 people working day in and day out, 12 hours a day, for a week. Obese and healthy? Just no.
To be fair, Amy clearly didn't plan any of that improv, but she DID have her Amberlynn references down. 😂 (Pillow Mountain, Twinkie STORR, Becky sort of being a backwoods yokel, "AESTHETICALLY PLEASING," etc.). I feel like she'd slide on the Snatch Game. 😂
For the love triangle question, Amber and Destiny used to be together. When they broke up Amber started dating Becky and she was still in love with Destiny for I believe around a year. Amber also still hangs out with Destiny and everyone believes that if Destiny wanted Amber back she would dump Becky in a second no thought whatsoever.
How they treated each other in those eras make people think she was more in love with Destiny over Becky. It could be age, but she was head over heels with Destiny back in the day.

Yoooo I actually learned something new! I was never overweight, but 2 years ago I was well on my way there by eating mostly pizza, pasta and white bread. I developed the dark patches and it scared the shit outta me, but then they disappeared and I never thought about it again. Crazy how many warning signs your body sends you when you shovel barely edible crap into it

So I worked retail before the pandemic and we had a regular, he was probably over 60 and one time he asked me out on a date, in front of my boss 🤦♀️ I didn't take it seriously and laughed it off but my boss told him that I have a boyfriend, he never came back. I had acanthosis nigricans when my BMI was 36 at age 15. The doctor confirmed at the time that I was pre-diabetic and that if I didn’t lose weight, I was going to end up as a type 2 diabetic. I saw a massive improvement when my BMI dropped below 30, it was just slightly dark. So I lost more weight, got my BMI all the way down to 21-22, and it’s 100% gone. No more pre-diabetes or insulin resistance...it took me 3 years to lose all the weight, but I’m glad I never gave up.

Hyper pigmentation of the knuckles like that can also be a side effect of B12 deficiency. Given her appalling diet it would make sense that ALR is suffering from that and other deficiencies I'm sure. I didnt realise the darkening can also be a whole separate skin condition indicative of insulin resistance though. That's really interesting

I used to have prediabetes as a child for a brief amount of time during my preteen years. Fortunately, my doctor was able to warn me before the abnormal fat deposit on my neck turned dark, and I had a family was supportive and I was able to lose almost 50 pounds by the time I turned 14 or so.

Also, you should check out Sinatra_Says_Second, especially his earlier ALR videos. He's getting impatient with her cycles, so he's more harsh in his criticisms now, but his earlier ones he was definitely rooting for her.

As a haydur myself, I'll explain the Destiny situation. Destiny is ALR's ex gf, when they broke up, amber made messy drunk lives saying she still loves destiny and shading Destiny's new gf. She is also super mean to Becky, and recently amberlynn admitted on video that she was still in love with Destiny almost 1 and a half years into the relationship with Becky. I'm 5'1 and about 170lbs and I feel fat as I never used to be able to get over 120lbs. I feel guilty when I have KFC and that happens less than once a month. I can't imagine being as big as these people. They make me more motivated to go to the gym and eat healthy as I REALLY NEVER want to get to this point.
