Basically the repetitive road scene is Mavuika waiting for five hundred years inside the eternal flame. You can see how much time has passed on sign. The reason for this is because unlike other archons the pyro archon has the lifespan of a human. Mavuika had to stay dead inside the flame for five hundred years while conscious.
6:47 The first number we see on the road sign (which shows the years she spent in this realm/the flame) is 66, so if it wasn't obvious enough through the landscape, Natlan being inspired by the Americas and her riding a bike, this video is definitely containing a Route 66 reference which makes sense since it's one of the things which is known even outside of the US. Possibly one of the saddest road trips, though.
each time she passes that little bench is a year basically that passed circle for circle for 500 years traveling waiting inside the sacred flame, there a sign next to it showing how long it has been, forgetting herself in the procress, if it wouldnt be for her sister to be with her in mind and remember her mavuika maybe would have lost herself within the flame
I guessed the ride was symbolism for her time spent in the Sacred Flame but didn't notice the literal sign saying "301" and so on. It was nice to see Mavuika's vulnerable side ironically made her more human than just the leader persona we've always seen. She came so close to losing herself within which was a noted possibility for staying too long. Thank Hine for renewing her willpower and resolve.
Salty fried chicken, seasoned with tears 😢 Traveling alone in the leylines for 500 yrs, just for the slight chance of a better future for everyone. The uncertainty is basically like Furina's, but with heavier prices already paid beside her own death. Thinking that the plan could fail and Natlan could've already fell when she came back would be so devastating! If not symbolic, I guess after the end of her life, her sis eventually found her in the Night Kingdom and gave her hope. I was expecting to see Sanhaj and Burkina too, but their deaths happened earlier.. At least we can see Burkina in Kinich's quest, so I'm hoping to see Sanhaj in Citlali's. Can I ask, if you guys recorded the Iktomi Spirit Scroll event? The one with Citlali & Ororon. That event only showed mural-style arts of the guy. He deserves to be remembered too 😢
I don't think the repetitive road scene was in the Night Kingdom. I think it's supposed to represent the time she waited in the Sacred Flame, wholly conscious, and how the long years wore down on her so much she nearly forgot her purpose and didn't even remember her sister until she reminded Mavuika.
not in the Night Kingdom. she is within the eternal flame the moment she made the act after her comrades died. Otherwise, she’d see darkness in the Night Kingdom. As per her Archon quest, she sacrificed whatever she left to pursue a the rise of the Night Kingdom by “waiting/sleeping in the Eternal Flame” it was the moment her sister, or I would assume the original Archon’s spirit in her sister’s visage, that convinced her that she is needed by Natlan. Thus her awakening from the Eternal Flame (which doesn’t set).
I am gonna be honest they did not do a good job selling this character to me, animatins not bad, but not good either- like I said on their channel. If they truly wanted to sell this character and not make it somewhat a boring animatio of ten minutes of practically nothing. They should've gone an dshowe doff those four warriors fighting alongside Mavuika. Showing us whta she was capable of, how she fought, how she treated her allies and what kind of lengths she goes for them. But no- all we get is literal 8 minutes of Mavuika having an essentials crisis of what she needed to do, who she was and why she was here in this world. That's not good story telling at all...they should've save that part as the last three minutes of the animation, while having the rest of it of her fighting alongside those four warriors on their last battle and WOULD have sold Mavuika a lot better in doing so. There no emotional attachment, there's no reason to really sympathize with said character- on the account we alreayd have done so in the main story. But this...yeah, they did her dirty honestly in a story telling and marketing point of view.
its most likely a preference thing but im really happy they showed a more vulnerable side to her in this one, we already know how powerful she is from just the past versions alone and in this one we can actually tell that not only she is an archon but still actually human at the end of the day. honestly if its all just about fighting it just gets really repetitive, fight scenes are one of my favorite types of scenes in game and especially that mavuika n capitano one we had from 5.0, but i do sure love scenes that focus on emotion. i did wish we saw more of the fighting part but we still have her character teaser, demo, the actual archon quest, her story quest(s) and stuff on the way soo
@@solar4634 Yeah it like I said it would be nice to see her interacted more with the other heroes who fought the dragon with her ya know? See how she behaves around them, how she responds to seeing them losing their life etc. A way to show more in depth to her character and showing the human side of her shine more through the story slash animation, then...well us seeing the four heroes who are great- drinking and such but we don't see Mavuika interacting with them all that much ya know? Sell the character by showing us exactly how attacj sje is to these heroes, let us see this friendship and bond she has with them ya know? That's how you can sell acharacter more is by showing more of their personality or how well they connect with the people around them. i just find it odd they did this for Citlani but not Mavuika ya know?
I would rather have that shown in the game or specifically her story quest tho im not sure if they would. Arlecchino's animation vid show too much too early that her story quest loses its twist and appeal slightly.
@@Yen-jw1ls Well I am saying mostly in the past not the present. We already got an idea of Mavuika during the archon quest already. It would've been nice to know how she behave and such in the past through the animation. And not be told' to us in game. IE Show don't tell- I don't want to sit down and listen to almost 1 hour of dialogue about what she was or how she behaved five hundred years ago. I rather see it, then being told. But this is Genshin devs, they don't have the greatest ways of telling a story all that much without shoving 4 hours of dialogue. When they could just show the player instead.

I seriously can't wait to see where the 5.3 quest is going...
So what did y'all think of this animated short? 👀
In the desert 9:32, there is "499" (years), so.. like Furina.
SAD!
damn I literally rewatched this trailer so many times and only noticed the numbers this time
