I'm finishing up vanilla before trying out mods, but I gotta say this looks sweet! I will mention that since the 1.03 update on vanilla that the A-life examples I've encountered in the base game feel VERY similar to examples 2-4 you include here. Enemies spawning a bit further away and factions participating in firefights feels way better than 4 bandits getting dropped on your head out of nowhere lol. It's good to see these types of improvements getting implemented in the base game (even though there are way better A-life features still missing)! I am looking forward to how great this game is going to end up down the road with continued efforts from both the devs and the modding community.
I downloaded the mod list you provided and it really makes the game so much better. I saw patrols far away, stalkers at campfires in random spots and a fair amount of engagment happening around the zone that i could hear but not see. I only had one time where some flesh's spawned right next to me and I aggro'd some bandits that were really far away but that also happened to me a lot in anomaly. It felt a lot more like the stalker experience im use to.
Of course, because we don’t deserve the full game for $60+… Can’t believe how many GSC robots were out here in the comments everywhere defending it too
they already said that A-Life has purposely been reduced in range and plays up big time because the games performance is bad and if the developers set it to the way it was and actually turned on the true A-Life then the performance would be to bad the ceo said that himself so it's not made up
Cool video, good to see mods working. If only we could mod console. Especially want a mod to stop reshuffling my inventory after a sale lol. Nothing ticks me off more than nicely arranging my shit just to shuffle it again
@@SimplyMat 2x can get pretty crazy at times, but I don't mind. NPC's aren't spawning up my but anymore so that is good. 1x is probably ideal for people to try and see the difference.
I don't understand why the performance is bad with the a life mod because you can see that your cpu is not maxed out, without the mod my cpu is at 40 45 % max and my gpu at 99% and people say the game is cpu bound. I don't get it
you should add better grenades mod.. that guy threw a frag in your pocket and you survived.. that should have killed you 100% of the time (also using said grenades is so much better)
@ not ON TOP of me. Believe me. It’s broken. But I am getting real world gun fights in the distance. Like I hear gun shots and have to look around to find the people shooting at each other. And there’s always people to help or going against me when I’m fighting mutants. I’m 100% experiencing broken and real world a life mechanics. It’s 50-50.

Oh that is interesting. They could be fixing things up now. Hopefully we get a really good alife system once these optimizations happen
@@jakeypants_YT agreed, fingers crossed!

for sure! I am happy you get something tangible now.
I've just beaten Stalker 2 vanilla and loved it. Round two going a different route with this.
that's what I am doing
There will definitely be a motorcycle mod one day. Hopefully you can jam an artifact into the gas tank for unlimited fuel for a while.
🤣 there def will be
Here it is 15 years later and we're still fixing A-life with mods...
Nothing surprises me anymore …

I like this mod alot especially the looters edition, so far for me it works as intended and it's awesome.
Oh yeah. Improves the game quote a lot for me. Messes scripted events sometimes but it feels so much better lmao
What effect does it have on frames and performance?

haha yeah the devs are aware of that one. mods will come to console with full mod support in the future
PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL EXPERIENCE BLACK SCREEN WITH MUTANT LOOT MOD. THEREFORE IT MUST GO IF YOU UPDATED TO 1.0.3
which version of shays living zone mod are u using? standard 1x or looter 1x?
Standard 2x

Is the A-Life mod safe to install mid playthrough?
100% safe.
I've been swapping them constantly to find the right one.
@SilentShadowPunisher thanks for the info. I think I'm going to give it a shot.
It's safe, you might need to spend a few in-game days to notice a difference, ie sleep or fast travel around.

I will take a look. i have something that says it modifies them so I will have to make sure they don't conflict
Tanks performance?
It can run pretty well with the right settings and optimization mods. 3060
Shay's doesnt seem to impact performance oddly, unlike roadside panic.
The factions were fighting with the bandits even when the game was released, so you don't need any mod or active A-Life for this 🙄
You must be playing a different game 😂
@@jakeypants_YTdef happens for me all the time with no mod.
Me too. Happens all the time.
is it happening right around you or way out into the distance
