Sekirei's out-of-print and expensive because it suffered the same fate as Fullmetal Alchemist / Brotherhood. Like FMA, it was produced by Aniplex Japan, and Aniplex decided to stop renewing licenses for their older properties that were originally released by Funimation, ADV/Sentai, Geneon, and other companies. Various Aniplex titles wound up in the same situation, like Baccano!, Hell Girl, ROD the TV, Paradise Kiss, Karin, Le Portrait de Petite Cosette, Kamichu, Spiral, A-Channel, and Birdy the Mighty:Decode.
