The horde lore is so rich… I feel like some of the alliance races could use some love
Yeah, honestly Alliance has kinda gone "we the good guys" bland.
Horde is for grown ups. Ally is for the kids. I doubt they care that much.
I don't really think that's an accurate statement.
The better the lore and game is as a whole the more people want to play it. I'd rather encounter all sorts of players rather than just min-maxers all the time.
The lore of the humans kingdoms, the draeni, Night elf’s, etc and the eastern kingdoms is pretty big and I’m satisfied with that
My man you cannot legitimately think the lore for the Undead is doing anything as well as the lore for the Night Elves at this point. The undead haven’t had an actually interesting lore development from between Wrathgate to Calia Menethil being alive.

Been playing on and off since Burning Crusade, I've always been Horde but the Draenei always looked really cool to me.
I do like the draenei too!!
U gotta unlock draenei red skin - there's even a toy to transform into a fel-draenei! Have fun! :D
For me, race plays a more symbolic role with class. As a pure horde player, I feel the race should reflect the character's identity. For example, my mage, obviously u choose an elf (seeing as they live the longest), that gives 2 options blood or nightborne. To me, blood elf magics and decor reflect a light/fire. However, my mage I prefer Arcane and the Nightborne reflect a more arcane vibe, not to mention their racial allows the summoning of a mailbox and a arcane burst that knockbacks enemies and cast a slow effect on them. Blood elves only active racial is a magic buff remover from enemies and recover a small portion of their class's recource (energy, rage, mana, ect). It used to be a silence effect and prevented magic of that type being used for 5 sec. Racial effects just add a bit of synergy towards a class. Sadly, the newer races seem to have much more practical and more useful active effects. Older races have more passive effects.
I pick my race and class based on lore and not Racials. It’s just made playing more enjoyable

been a draenei paladin main from cata to end of wod where i picked up resto druid and went pve, mained that until i took a 3 year break from bfa to end of SL. then when DF came out, ended up maining evoker. ngl, im torn between classes rn. i want to main a Draenei like old times, but they cant be druids, which is annoying. so i guess its between my old paladin or shaman, or a priest (have to be a healer/dps spec, a tank spec is just an added bonus). im leaning more towards a priest or a paladin, cuz tbh, plate and cloth have the best transmog imo
All good options! I've never been a fan of Priest, but the new talent trees for Shadow are really cool!
@@captainbenzie yeah same tbh. I loved disc priest in wod, legion made that spec not as fun for me. Not a huge fan of the dmg type of healing. But tried some shadow lately and its actually been pretty fun. Shadow was fun in legion too imo, but didnt play it as much as i should have

For me it was pretty easy, I love dragons, I always play in MMO's a DPS or a Healer and I love magic in games, started playing WoW because of Dragonflight so it was kinda a dream expansion and a dream class for me and I know someone who plays on a server as an Alliance so I went with that faction. Watched the movie Warcraft and I jumped into the game after it for the first time :)

@@whistlerdan7718 @Captainbenzie honestly I'm not a furry, the Make Camp and Return to Camp racials are next level helpful. I love Blood Elves so much I bleed BLOOD, but I can't turn down the ability to make a teleport point I can go back to and make rest zone anywhere. And the ability to just chuck some random something at a target is actually a legitimate damage source while leveling. I can sing "Lament of the Highborne" in the Thallasian, but I can't argue with the extreme convenience.

Good luck! That said, I doubt they'll expand Demon Hunter as they're locked by lore, and were added all the way back in Legion. I'd hope they do, I just don't think they will.

Awesome video. One thing I didn't think about before making a character was the vocie acting and animations make the immersion better or worse. For some reason the goblin voices are just ridiculous and bad 😂
Yeah, goblins do annoy me which is sad cos I like the concept.

That was true when I made this video, but the concept of Good Guys and Bad Guys still stands, and they each have different questing experiences.

Wanted to start with a paladin, but wich race is better suited for this class? I heard that human are very good and dwarfs? What’s ur opinion
All are.pretty good and minmaxing isn't overly important in WoW. Honestly, whichever race you find appealing in terms of animation and sound.
I personally like the theme of a draenei paladin for alliance, but since you're going to be spending a lot of time with the character, it's important that you enjoy them!

@@TomTom-jl9zd this is my point. Every race has advantages and disadvantages, and honestly, the slight differences in their abilities aren't going to cause a bad player to win or a good player to lose.
I think enjoyment is much more important 😊

I do still dabble in WoW. I've played EVE for years, and I'm well known for my EVE Online and EVE Echoes content. My WoW content didn't do so well, so I focused on what worked ☺️

The whole reason I started plying WoW is because of the blood elves, so I naturally loved the horde after that and my favorite class has always been priest but I play best as a hunter

I hate that nobody actually just provides the info on what each races abilities are in any of these videos. Everyone just says "doesn't matter, pick looks." Well, here's a novel idea, it not mattering to you doesn't mean there aren't people who would like to have the info. I fully understand the impact is negligible, but yammering on about the looks and what classes some races can or can't have for 11 minutes without providing any actually info, just vague generalities, means there was PLENTY of time to say "humans have X perk, Orcs have Y perk, Etc." Nah, lets bloviate for 10 full minutes of minimal info and totally skip spending 2 minutes to provide actual trait info because "it doesn't matter."
The subject of this video is how to pick the best race/class combo for you, and the bottom line is that it doesn't matter about the racials. That's the point I'm trying to make.
I'm not going to waste everyone's time going into detail over everything I'm saying is unimportant.

Let's talk about the latest scientific discovery around Alzheimer's medication, but before we do, here's ten minutes talking about Shakespeare.
In short, rather than complain that the video doesn't contain the irrelevant info you were looking for, and kinda states that, you could just look at the racial abilities in game.
@@captainbenzie Sure, if I had the game, or a PC. This is all part of the research phase as a potential new player, but every video acts like anyone coming in should just know all the "unimportant" stuff.

All this does is shows you have no idea the lore of Warcraft 😉 read up and discover on everything amazing the Horde has done, and every horrific betrayal and evil committed by the Alliance.

They need to make humans every race they need to make humans every class now cuz it's crazy on how humans can't be shamans despite in real life there are human shamans I really wanted to be a human evoker and demon hunter just is crazy it's about time they became druids because kul tiran can be druids so why not humans
Azeroth is a fantasy world, not real life. The humans of Stormwind are not connected to nature like the Kul'Tirans are. Evokers were literally crafted by Neltharion in dragon form, so makes.sense that humans can't be, and humans lack the magical core and resilience to be demon hunters.

@@Patrious_WoW those are not the dragon evoker class. In that sense, evoker is another name for a Mage.
@@captainbenzie if evoker is just another name for mage then why are they 2 different classes? Wouldn't be a stretch to teach other races how to be an evoker, at the very least let the dracthyr turn into other races when in visage form
@@Patrious_WoW the Dracthyr are an entire crafted race. Evoker is the name of their class.
Evoker is ALSO just a synonym for mage, like sorcerer. The Scarlets are just mages.

I played when it first came out all the way up to Pandora then stopped but went back here and there and purchased the pack where I had my own place. Then forgot my damn password from an email account that I hadn't used in forever so lost everything 😢 now thinking of starting over.

I'm sorry, but the horde are inherently more bad/evil than the alliance. Both have their flaws, but take a look at garrosh and more recently sylvanas. The first horde etc. Blood elves, tauren and maybe trolls aren't "evil" bu default. But the horde is just inherently worse than the alliance. However, since you are a horde player you probably wont agree
I love the "get out clause" at the end of the argument - so when I disagree you can just dismiss me as Horde.
Did you play Legion? Did you not see how Illidan rails against the Naaru because her Light is every bit as oppressive as the Legion?
Have you not read the lore of the Alliance? The really messed up stuff they've done to their own people? How xenophobic and outright hostile to non-humans many of the Seven Kingdoms were? The internment camps? Or how the Kal'dorei originally screwed up the world, are still basically nationalists.
The Alliance as a whole has a superiority complex. Wrynn wasn't exactly a shining paragon during his time. Yeah, he wasn't as outrightly evil as Garrison but that's why we bring him down. The Horde stops supporting him too.
The basic point is that neither side is good or evil. They're all shades of grey and to deny that is to undermine what makes Warcraft lore so great.
You are dead wrong. The horde are 100% the bad guys and the alliance are 100% the good guys. Every expansion is basically the alliance cleaning up horde bullshit lmao
Original? The Horde in Durotar were pushing back Alliance invaders, escaping SLAVERY, and rebuilding their homes.
Burning Crusade, the Blood Elves (abandoned by their old allies the Alliance) led the charge WITH THE HORDE to stop the Legion and retake the orcs ancestral home whilst the Alliance played petty war in Hellfire.
Wrath, Sylvanas finally breaks herself free, the orcs seek to undo past wrongs.
Cataclysm, sure.
Pandaria, sure, but the Horde is trying to clear up it's mess whilst the Alliance play petty war.

How are the trolls evil? And if you say Voodoo, then surely the humans are just as bad when they've enslaved orcs and have things like the Scarlet Crusade?
Look at the Night Elves, most of the bad stuff that's happened has been their direct fault, and Tyrande has actively been an aggressor.
You're wrong and massively underselling the lore to see any one faction as good or bad. The entire POINT is that they're all complex with their own views and cultures trying to find their way in a broken world.

@@dwux1627 I mean, in a game that has magical time-travelling dragons, a giant demon who stabbed a planet, elves that turned into water snakes, interdimensional goat people, and a sword that can control legions of the undead, it feels fairly minor.
And if Gnomes can be warriors and death knights, then why not Tauren rogues? It's about the training, surely, and the Grimtotem have had rogue enemies in the game since classic.

That was one of the things I liked about the game, the fact that only some races could be certain classes.
That made the races more special.
