Funny I just watched Christmas with the kranks yesterday again. It's hilarious ❤ I think hosting those parties and the huge decor they added tapped into that 6k. Hosting adds up
13 nieces and 3 nephews We do not give birthday gifts unless we are invited to a party. Most live out of our state anyway. But I love gifting at Christmas time. It’s so fun having so many girls in our family.
I give my niece and two nephews cash in a Christmas card. They are 18-24yo and we see them on Christmas day. I buy small items for my 2 very young granddaughters (nothing for my daughter) and I buy quite a lot of smaller gifts for my 23 yo son who still lives at home. I have always spoiled him.. . this year I got him 3 pair of pajama pants, a couple tshirts and pants, a few movies on blue ray, some collectable figures from Harry Potter, a few books, a warm fuzzy comforter, and a few items from his favorite hockey teams (socks and a calendar plus 2 large photos to decorate his new room).... I really enjoy shopping so I like getting him a variety of items.. my husband gets him the movies and books.. so all together we probably spend $400-$500 every year... He asked for nothing really .
Thank You. Some years have been very small. Some years are bigger. My little sister (28)passed away last month. She left behind two little girls. So this Christmas, I am trying to make the holiday very special❤

It is only me and my husband and our very large animal family full of dogs, cats, chinchillas, a hedgehog, a tortoise, turtles and sugar gliders. We do extra treats and advent calendars for the animals throughout Dec and some toys and/or treats on Christmas. We only buy for my toddler niece, our teen nephew, and my Mom and step-Dad. We don’t have any other family that we still have a relationship with and no longer live anywhere near friends. Oh, and I also do a gift exchange with a Secret Santa from a group I belong to. My Mom also has. A Dec birthday, my step Dad and early Jan b-day, my niece a Dec b-day and my husband is born on Christmas Eve, so we do have some extra costs there and since we don’t live near anyone we know I generally just package all the gifts together for both occasions, just wrapped differently, so I tend to consider them both Christmas expenses. Since it’s just the two of us we don’t want to bother with all the prep of a big holiday meal so we just order a couple of catered meals for Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve is appetizers and birthday cake always with leftovers on Boxing Day. We lost all our decorations when we moved a couple of years ago so we had to buy new a couple of years ago and we are still slowly buying back to build up more personal ornaments instead of just colourful bulbs. All said and done though, I doubt we spend more than $1000. We’ve had years we haven’t spent more than a couple of hundred dollars- just presents for family-nothing for us. We still don’t buy huge for each other mostly stocking stuffers, etc. Having so many rescue animals tends to tie up all of our available funds.
Wow! That sounds like my house when my daughter was younger. We felt so bad that she was the only child. So we had all kinds of animals. Bunnies, turtles, hamsters, fish, birds. Now, we have a cat that we found as a baby after a hurricane. As well as two dogs. We foster dogs and kittens. It’s so hard falling in love with the animals and then saying goodbye. But it’s worth the joy it brings to the new parents. I hope this Christmas is one of the best ever for you, your husband and your animal pack🎄
For your question- I love gift giving to my 3 boys. Budget is much less this year. Prob about 350 for the older preteen and then 200 for the younger boys . We just make sure the gift count is even. But this does not include stockings, dinner, matching pjs, and any holidays festivals. So I don't know..tag on extra 6-800 for everything I just said. Lol Oh and stuffies. They still love those so they get a new one on Christmas Eve. We however only gift to our boys, our parents and each other. We use to do Neices, nephews etc, but it got crazy. Now everyone just eats together but budget there own house
I always wished I had more children. I think that’s why I spoil my nieces and nephews. It’s so fun when they are little. I bet your kids are going to have a very special Christmas. You sound like an awesome Mom❤️
