So unfortunately, I really dislike this video after learning what an awful woman Patricia is. If you read Mariah's memoirs, the things her mother, brother, and sister did to her are incredibly outrageous and I feel sad for Mariah that she keeps giving them the benefit of the doubt and can't seem to let them go. So I don't enjoy this video at all, unfortunately. I love Mariah very much but I don't approve of her masochistic tendencies of keeping people in her family close who don't give a shit about her and have repeatedly sabotaged her and even put her life in danger. You described her as proud, but Patricia is anything but proud of Mariah, if you know about her. So I can't approve of this video.

Just because Mariah wrote about some issues she’s had with her over her life like any family has doesn’t dismiss that. Seriously grow up and also realize you’re not hearing her mothers side either. They literally put her in numerous dangerous situations, extort her for money, institutionalize her to try to separate her from her control over her own money, drug her and try to solicit her for sex, physically abuse her with boiling water.. That is not love. They are not to be trusted. I will never forgive them if they do anything to her again. She needs to leave them out of her life and never look back.
